Read the email (1) from Raelis titled “Message from Voeld: Intel on Kett.” In this email, Raelis introduces herself as a member of the angaran Resistance. She claims some of their scouts have returned with interesting information concerning the kett, and she’s certain it will intrigue you. She’ll wait for you on Voeld.
Meet with Raelis on Voeld
Voeld: Angaran Resistance Base
Speak to Raelis (2) in the angaran base on Voeld. She’s standing near a wall of instruments on the left pathway in the main operations area of the base. She’s surprised you showed up to meet her and grateful you saved the Moshae form the kett. She tells you scouts have detected increased kett science and research vessels moving through areas of Voeld. Raelis asks for your help, as the Resistance lacks the tech to break into the kett bases.
Go to the Kett Facility
Voeld
Bring up your exterior Voeld map and select the forward station (3) closest to your destination, if it’s active. Travel to the southeast part of Voeld, then northwest to reach the kett facility (4).
There are about 10 kett Chosen guarding the base. It’s a fight as soon as you exit the Nomad. Find cover around the base and start picking off the kett one by one.
Search the Facility for Any Useful Data
Enter the facility once the area is clear. You should face no opposition inside.
Collect Three Kett Bio Samples
As soon as you enter through the front door, locate the desk in the left corner. A syringe containing a biospecimen sits there, along with a kett datapad. Scan the syringe, then pick it up. Don’t forget to pick it up. There are syringes all over the room. Scan them and pick them up to complete this objective. SAM informs you that the samples all contain the same genetic sequence.
Go to the Kett Communications Station
Travel east to the communications station (5) on the southeast side of the kett mountain base. As you approach, note the impressive defenses this base boasts. A good attack strategy is to use a sniper rifle from behind a boulder on one of the cliffs beside the station.
Investigate the Comms Station
Once you’ve cleared the enemy from the site, enter the building and follow the navpoint to a rear balcony. Pick up the datapad titled “Received from Central”—it’s a message to this post containing a command to find a way to deliver regular reports regardless of the communication problems caused by the Scourge. Here you learn there’s more than one Archon in the kett’s organization. When a new species is discovered, they send data to the home world and start making more kett.
Search for More Information
Follow the navpoint back inside the station, to a device on the wall near an exit. It’s an audio log from Primus, containing orders for the station to accept the demands of the Archon; he is the senate’s voice in Heleus. Looks like there’s dissension in the ranks.
