Talk to Shapiro (1), who’s standing next to a terrarium on the upper level of the Nexus in hydroponics. He tells you there are obvious short circuits cropping up all over the place, and he could use a Pathfinder’s keen eye on the situation.

Nexus: Tech Lab
Head to the tech lab (2) on the upper level of the Nexus docking bay. As you enter, scan the station’s left wall. You discover a short circuit in the damaged equipment. No need to try to fix it yourself; just scan it.
Nexus: Cultural Center
Exit the tech lab and then enter the top-floor door of the cultural center. Behind the main desk in the top left corner of the room, find another short-circuited machine(3). It appears someone tried to gain access to the base of the machine, but no data was extracted. Now take the tram to Nexus operations.

Find the final short circuit in Addison’s office. The damage is in a console (4) near where the scientists were standing in the beginning of the game.
Nexus: Kesh’s Office
Enter Kesh’s office (5) and head to the opposite wall from the entryway to spot an interaction prompt that reads, “Creature.” Examine it to find the rodent responsible for all the broken wires. Use your omni-tool to scan behind the equipment to find the huge Miniature Pallard—an addition to your wildlife scans. You can choose to capture it or kill it. Either way, the mission is completed once you select an outcome. You earn a large amount of XP.
