Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector's Edition eGuide Multiplayer Multiplayer Basics

Store

The store is your hub for unlocking weapons, weapon mods, consumables, characters, equipment, and boosters. Open packs to receive randomly awarded items, or buy equipment from the Item Store.

Currency

There are three types of currency in Mass Effect: Andromeda Multiplayer.

MP Credits: These are earned when you complete challenges and missions. You receive more credits for performing well on a mission.

Andromeda Points: This is the premium currency that can be purchased with real money and exchanged for advanced or higher packs. Note that anything available for purchase with Andromeda points can also be purchased with an alternate form of game currency.

Mission Funds: Strike team missions completed by a group of players award mission funds that can be used to upgrade and unlock additional strike teams. Mission funds can also be used in the Item Store to purchase equipment.

Card Packs

Cards for weapons, characters, consumables, boosters, and weapon mods are all acquired from packs. Six types of purchasable packs provide different chances of containing rarer cards, some guaranteeing at least one card of a certain rarity. All packs can be purchased with currency earned during gameplay, and some packs allow purchase through the use of Andromeda points, which can be bought with real money.

Supply Pack: Includes the Cobra RPG, First Aid Pack, Ammo Pack, and Revive Pack, as well as a random booster.

Basic Pack: Includes five random items or characters, with a small chance for an uncommon class.

Advanced Pack: Includes five random items or characters, with at least one uncommon class and a small chance for a rare class.

Expert Pack: Includes five random items or characters, with at least one rare class and a small chance for an ultra-rare class.

Premium Pack: Includes five random items or characters, with at least two rare classes and a greater chance for at least one ultra-rare class.

Free Reward Packs: Some are granted after finishing challenges.

Card Rarity

Each item acquired from card packs, with the exception of consumables, has a specific rarity rating that determines the likelihood of acquiring the card. Cards use a system of colors and diamonds. Each card displays a color and diamond count associated with the rarity. Booster rarity is determined by number and coin color.

Blue, no diamond—consumables and boosters
Bronze, one diamond—common
Silver, two diamonds—uncommon
Gold, three diamond—rare
N7 (white with red stripe), four diamonds—ultra-rare

Item Store

Looking to up your game with some equipment? The Item Store is the place for you! The Item Store is the only place where you can get equipment. Each piece of equipment switches every week.

Mission funds, acquired from playing strike team missions, are the only currency accepted here. Save up to buy a piece of equipment suited for your play style. For example, if you prefer biotic powers, save up for the Adaptive War Amp, which increases damage dealt by biotic powers.

Consumables can be purchased one at a time in the Item Store, although it’s recommended that you buy consumable packs to conserve your mission funds.

You can also purchase a Character Re-Spec in the Item Store, which allows you to reset your skill purchases for a specific character. You can then refocus their combat powers and skills in different ways.

Rewards

Reward packs earned from completing challenges are available in the Rewards tab.
