After settling Eos with Prodromos, talk to Jacob Mittney (1), who’s standing outside the nearest building facing the Tempest. He introduces himself as working for Research and Development. They’ve made a discovery for armor plating augmentation. He gives you the Pathfinder Chest I blueprint. All you must do is develop it.
Craft the Pathfinder Chest Piece
You need to gather the necessary materials to craft a chest piece at a research center. Head into the Research Center (2) in Prodromos to see if you have what you need to develop it. This building is the one closest to the end of the Tempest.
Use the Research and Development terminal inside the building and access the Development interface. Select the Armor category and scroll down to “Chest.” It costs you 40 xxx, 170 fluorite, 80 cadmium, and 20 platinum. If you don’t have enough to cover the costs, return once you collect more of the required minerals.
In the Chest category, find Pathfinder Chest II. Select it. Choose augmentations for it if you can afford to. This is optional. Now select “Craft it.” Confirm your choice and rename the piece if you wish. It’s added to your inventory, and you complete this task as soon as you back out of the interface.
