Taking the prerequisites into consideration, talk to Liam (1) aboard the Tempest, and he asks you to help him with a project he and Jaal are working on. He hands you the blueprints needed to develop a set of armor.
Build Liam’s Research Project
Tempest: Research Area
Liam wants a small armor project approved, calling it a diplomatic effort with Jaal. Complete the research project to secure what he needs. Access the Development interface at the research center (2) under the Special category. It only costs 10 Aluminum and 10 Iron. If you tend to pick up every item you see while exploring planets, you won’t have an issue fulfilling the ingredient requirements. You can also buy these ingredients from merchants.
Talk to Liam in His Room on the Tempest
Tempest: Storage Room
Head down to the cargo bay and enter the back-right door (3) to the storage room where Liam hangs out. When you walk in, you catch a horrific site of the naked duo—Jaal and Liam working on their new armor project together. Kind of a team-bonding moment.
