Counting Bodies

Mission Type: Heleus Assignment: Kadara

Prerequisite: Must have interrogated Vehn Terev in “Hunting the Archon”

Start Location: Kadara

Unlocking: Talk to Saneris and Drexel

Speak to Saneris and Drexel

Kadara

This is likely the first mission you stumble across as you begin to explore Kadara (once you leave the port and the slums). Pick up this quest by talking to Saneris (1) and Drexel on the platform facing the acid pool directly across from the warden’s station and first forward station.

Saneris and Drexel ask you to scan murder victims in the badlands. One wants justice; the other wants profit. Search for bodies in the cesspools, scan them, and decide who gets the information.

Scan Five Corpses

Bodies Near the Slums

There are three bodies in the acid pools around Saneris and Drexel, and one body (2) on the far east side of the pools. Use the overhanging boulder to get close enough to scan without stepping in the acid (which can kill you and your squadmates).

The second body in the main pool is close to a cultivation plant you should scan while here. Jump from island to island, avoiding the acid, to get a scan of this decaying body (3).

The last body is in the small pool of acid to the west. You can easily scan it from the pool’s edge.

Sulfur Springs Bodies

Find this body (5) in an acid pool by the side of the road in Sulfur Springs.

There’s a body (6) in the pool of acid near the site of the future Initiative outpost. You can catch a couple of suspicious aliens around the same area who appear to be preparing to throw another body in the acid. The body they’re standing over is not the one you scan. Look in the acid nearby.

Return to Saneris and Drexel with the Scan Data

With all the bodies scanned, use the forward station in front of the slums to fast travel back to Saneris and Drexel (1). You have two choices—either give the scan data to Saneris to see justice done, or give it to Drexel for a reward. If you choose the reward, you get an Angran Firaan III melee weapon. If you see justice done, you earn a small amount of AVP and Kadara Viability +2%.
