Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector's Edition Guide › Game Mechanics › Game Mechanics Glossary

Cryo Pod Perks (AVP Status Control)

Cryo Pod Perks represent the support and aid given to Ryder and his/her crew by colonists in the Heleus Cluster. Perks are passive bonuses and rewards, categorized over three concept specializations: science, military, and commerce.

You’re rewarded your first Cryo Pod Perk point after establishing an outpost on Eos. Additional points can be earned by gaining more AVP and gaining Nexus Levels (which are earned by generally being an effective Pathfinder).

Perks costs one perk point and, unlike skill points, they are non-refundable once spent.

Note that some give immediate bonuses while some give bonuses over time that can be collected from the Tempest. Once a timed reward has been generated, no additional rewards from that particular perk are generated until the player picks up the current one.
