Not to be confused with an enemy’s “armor health,” armor comprises pieces of equipment Ryder can wear to enhance his/her combat effectiveness. They provide stat boosts depending on the equipment set. Note that only some armor increases damage resistance (explicitly stating so in its properties).
Armor is categorized by the following sets, which are associated with specific stat boosts:
- Angara: Tech Power Damage, Tech Effect Duration, Max Shields, Tech Construct Damage
- Heleus: Power and Weapon Damage, Damage Resistance
- Hyperguardian: Max Health and Shields, Melee Damage
- Initiative: XP Encounter Gain, Shields
- Kett: Combat Power Damage, Weapon Damage, Combat Power Cell Capacity
- Maverick: Weapon Damage, Accuracy, Critical Hits
- N7: Biotic Power Damage and Recharge, Weapon Damage During Power Recharge
- Pathfinder: Weapon Accuracy, Power Restoration and Defense
- Remnant: Damage Resistance, Health and Shield Regeneration and Regeneration Delay Reduction, Power Recharge Speed
Note that Heleus Defender “chest” armor is a full-body suit and, when equipped, counts as chest, arms, and legs, which slightly limits customization (and sacrifices augmentation slots). For a comprehensive list of bonuses and other details, see the Armor section in the Inventory chapter.
