Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector's Edition Guide › Multiplayer › Multiplayer Weapons

MP Sniper Rifles

Sniper rifles are deadly long-range weapons that become even more destructive in the hands of a skilled player. While hitting an enemy with a sniper rifle deals heavy damage, landing hits on the weak points of an enemy makes short work of them.

Don’t forget to use your scope when using a sniper rifle. Any shot fired from the hip will take a large damage debuff. This debuff and slow rate of fire for sniper rifles mean they’re incredibly weak at close range. Make sure you have a close-range power or weapon like a shotgun ready to go.

Black Widow

Rarity Ultra Rare
Type Heavy Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Single Action
Ballistic Type Standard Bullet

A smaller, higher-capacity variation of the Widow sniper rifle, the Black Widow fires three powerful shots per thermal clip. Andromeda Initiative engineers have adjusted the scope for improved optical enhancement in a variety of atmospheres.

Incisor

Rarity Uncommon
Type Sniper Rifle
Firing Type (Three Shot Charge) Semi-Automatic
Ballistic Type Standard Bullet

Capable of three-shot bursts, the Incisor was part of a new wave of Milky Way sniper rifles designed to overload a foe’s defenses. It was advertised as having negligible recoil, though the second and third rounds frequently “climb” in combat conditions, distributing damage along a vertical line.

Inferno

Rarity Ultra Rare
Type Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Semi-Automatic
Ballistic Type Particle Bursts

The Inferno began as a failed design for a Remnant particle beam shotgun, then was reconfigured into a semi-automatic sniper weapon. It fires short, high-energy particle bursts and requires no reloading. This allows a sniper to continue firing until the weapon overheats.

Isharay

Rarity Rare
Type Heavy Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Single Shot
Ballistic Type Standard Bullet

This heavy angaran sniper rifle uses an entire thermal clip with each shot. It’s slow to reload but strikes with massive force. The Isharay’s name translates as “good-bye,” and the weapon has few rivals when it comes to raw power. The angara take understandable pride in its effectiveness.

Lanat

Rarity Rare
Type Heavy Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Single Action
Ballistic Type Plasma Rounds

The kett Lanat, translated to “watcher,” is a slow-firing sniper rifle that uses plasma-surrounded projectiles. The user can charge the semi-automatic Lanat’s magnetic field to modify the plasma containment—the longer the charge builds, the more powerful the shot. At full power, the Lanat is among the deadliest weapons in any galaxy.

M-90 Indra

Rarity Rare
Type Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Automatic
Ballistic Type Standard Bullet

An automatic sniper rifle with a rapid-fire rate and a large capacity to compensate for its limited scope, the Indra was still in an early design phase when the Andromeda Initiative acquired its schematics. Initiative engineers completed the design and manufactured a number of functional prototypes.

N7 Valiant

Rarity Ultra Rare
Type Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Semi-Automatic
Ballistic Type Standard Bullet

This semi-automatic sniper rifle has a sophisticated fire-control system that improves accuracy at the cost of reduced capacity. In the Milky Way, N7 soldiers generally found the Valiant’s increased precision and quick reloads a worthy trade-off.

Naladen

Rarity Ultra Rare
Type Explosive Plasma Launcher
Firing Type Single Action
Ballistic Type Explosive Plasma Round

The Naladen, translated to “taker,” is a scoped rifle capable of firing plasma-surrounded projectiles that explode on impact and burn anyone in the immediate vicinity. The Naladen mixes precision targeting with indiscriminate damage. What that says about kett military culture is a subject best left to expert xenosociologists.

Raptor

Rarity Uncommon
Type Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Automatic
Ballistic Type Standard Bullet

An automatic sniper rifle derived from a similar turian weapon, the Raptor isn’t especially accurate but combines some of the best traits of a sniper weapon and an assault rifle. The Raptor was controversial among Initiative security personnel, who argued the weapon had no place in the Initiative’s mission of exploration. A small number were still stocked.

Shadow

Rarity Rare
Type Beam Weapon
Firing Type Continuous Beam
Ballistic Type Particle Beam

Remnant particle technology is the cornerstone of the Shadow’s design, though the Andromeda Initiative is responsible for the rest. This scoped rifle fires a continuous beam with pinpoint precision, only stopping if it overheats. As with all reverse-engineered Remnant tech, the Shadow should be considered experimental.

Vanquisher

Rarity Rare
Type Heavy Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Single Action
Ballistic Type Standard Bullet

The Vanquisher is a versatile sniper rifle that packs a solid punch. Built by Nexus exiles, it is highly modular and damage-resistant—its effectiveness is unimpeded by sandstorms, snow, and other weather conditions.

Viper

Rarity Rare
Type Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Semi-Automatic
Ballistic Type Standard Bullet

The Viper is a rapid-fire rifle popular with military snipers who appreciated a long-range gun that can snap off multiple shots in a short period. Rosenkox Materials sold a considerable number of Vipers to the Initiative at a discount in return for undisclosed favors from Initiative founder Jien Garson.

Widow

Rarity Uncommon
Type Heavy Sniper Rifle
Firing Type Single Shot
Ballistic Type Standard Bullet

The Widow is a heavy and formidable single-shot sniper rifle originally designed for use against armored vehicles. The Widows acquired by the Andromeda Initiative have been modified for additional portability—the original model was nearly unusable by organic life-forms.
