Voeld: Initiative Outpost
Priya is in the same building (1) you pop into when you build the outpost and talk to the holographic Addison. She’s available to give you this mission as soon as the outpost is built. She needs your help finding some missing drill technicians.
Search the Lab for Clues Regarding the Missing Scientists
While searching for clues, make sure to find the turian frigate model on this desk in the screenshot It’s two rooms away from Priya. Follow the navpoint out of the building and into the one adjacent.
Use the scanner to locate a scannable crate in the lab (2). There’s a hand-drilling device inside. On top of the crate is a datapad titled “Brynn Kemper, Log 478.” The cryptic message contains a navpoint.
Go to the Navpoint for the Final Transmission
Travel across Voeld to the navpoint in the east (3). What you discover there is grim.
Search the Area for Clues
Scan the wrecked transport vehicle (3) and a few corpses for info that reveals they are members of the drill team. They were killed by electrical shock and vehicle impact. The vehicle was taken out by a long-range Remnant weapon. Examine the datapad lying near the open end of the broken vehicle, which gives you the scientists’ planned path.
Follow the Scientists’ Planned Path
Follow the new navpoint (4) south through the vale. When the tires hit a frozen river, you see an Architect flying above a large kett outpost. The kett have been run off, but you’re sure to encounter some Remnant here. That’s right—prepare for an Architect battle.
Defeat the Remnant Architect
Refer to our battle tips in the Architect Encounters section for full details on defeating an Architect.
Of course, each new battlefield brings with it unique strategic options. In this case, on the east side of Voeld is a Hazard Level 2 cold environment. This hazard cannot be mitigated by completing the Remnant vault challenge, which lowers the temperature by 13 degrees, but doesn’t effect this east valley. Given that additional obstacle, a big part of this fight is about battling frostbite. You must run from heat lamp to heat lamp to warm up throughout the stages of the Architect battle.
Lastly, make use the many buildings around this battlefield. You can take cover inside and even underneath some of them, which gives you a tactical advantage.
Speak to Priya Blake
After you take care of the Architect, head back to the outpost and speak to Priya Blake (1). She’s heard news of the battle and feels she led her people to their unfortunate end. Console her.
