Mass Effect: Andromeda Collector's Edition Guide › Secondary Ops

Eyes on the Ground/On the Front Lines

Mission Type: Heleus Assignment: Voeld

Prerequisite: Complete “Meet the Resistance”

Start Location: Voeld

Unlocking: Starts during the conversation with Beniska when finishing “Meet the Resistance.”

Two Names, One Mission

If you’ve already completed “Helping Havarl’s Scientists,” the mission name you receive here is “Eyes on the Ground.” If you haven’t done any trust quests, you receive “On the Front Lines.” If you start “On the Front Lines” but don’t follow the quest objectives and instead finish “Helping Havarl’s Scientists” first, this mission’s name updates to “Eyes on the Ground.”

Evfra’s Trust Quests

Two quests center around gaining Evfra’s trust. One is “Stage a Rescue” on Voeld, where you rescue imprisoned angara. The other is “Helping Havarl’s Scientists,” also on Voeld, where you save angara from Remnant stasis. After completing one of these quests, talk to Evfra to advance the Priority Ops missions.

Speak to Beniska

Voeld: Resistance Base

Speaking to the Resistance base lookouts, Beniska and Tseek (1), completes “Meet the Resistance” and begins “On the Front Lines.” During this conversation, you speak of the red lights at Hjara—that’s your next stop.

Go to Hjara

Voeld

Find the research base Hjara (2) around the middle of the map. When you get close, you see bright red lights on tall poles. Look for a base carved into a snow-covered mountainside. Just in front of the base is a place for a forward station. Visit this location first to call the forward station.

Speak to Skeot

Explore the base and scan equipment while looking for Skeot. Behind a bar-like counter in the cave, you find the research lead, Knoeth, and Yveth (3), whom you can trade with for consumables. Find Skeot (4) standing outside with another angara between the lit garage and the first building.

Approach the two to overhear them talking about missing comrades and forming a plan to locate them. When your conversation with Skeot starts, he commends you on saving the Moshae. He asks you to rescue his uncle, Niilj, who was captured by the kett and placed in a labor camp. Agree to help him, and he sends you a navpoint to Niilj’s location. This completes the current mission and launches the mission “Stage a Rescue.”

Before you leave, explore the entire base for things to scan and angara to talk to. Enter the building (5) near Skeot to speak to an irritated researcher; examine a console next to him to begin the side quest “Frequency.”
