The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind eGuide Training Skills Weapon Skill Lines

Two-Handed

Maximum Rank: Two-Handed Rank 50

Maximum Investment: 22 Skill Points

The Two-Handed skill line has a great mix of hard-hitting melee abilities and basic utility. Along with some excellent attacks, you’ll find a gap closer, an execute, and a self-heal that grants a damage buff—nearly everything a melee-focused player could want on one Action Bar.

Two-Handed Active Abilities are Stamina-based. To improve their effects, invest in Maximum Stamina, Stamina Recovery, Weapon Damage, and Weapon Critical.

Ultimate Ability

Berserker Strike

Berserker Strike deals heavy Physical Damage that ignores your target’s mitigation, granting you Physical and Spell Resistance equal to the amount ignored for a short time.

While the base ability offers a nice mix of direct damage and defensive buffs, the utility offered by its morphs is what really makes Berserker Strike a contender for that valuable Action Bar slot.

Onslaught

Killing an enemy with this ability immediately refunds the Ultimate cost.

Berserker Rage

You are immune to all Disabling, Snare, And Immobilization Effects for the duration.

Active Abilities

Uppercut

Its one-second cast time makes Uppercut a relatively slow but extremely powerful attack. If you plan to use a two-handed melee weapon, this will likely be your primary damage ability.

Dizzying Swing

Stuns and knocks back the enemy hit.

Wrecking Blow

Grants you Empower, increasing the damage of your next attack.

Critical Charge

Although Critical Charge is a guaranteed Critical Strike, its popularity is due to its use as a gap closer. It’s handy in PvE, but many players consider it an essential Two-Handed ability for PvP builds. Following up a Critical Charge with an Uppercut is one of the most common Two-Handed tactics.

Stampede

Reduces the enemy’s movement speed.

Critical Rush

Deals more damage based on the distance traveled.

Cleave

Cleave’s combination of area-of-effect damage and damage over time makes it an important tool for Two-Handed DPS, and the utility offered by its morphs makes it a difficult skill to pass up.

Carve

Grants Minor Heroism, increasing your Ultimate generation.

Brawler

Grants a damage shield that increases in strength for each enemy hit.

Reverse Slash

As a straightforward execute, Reverse Slash is a great way to boost your burst damage and overall DPS. Once your target reaches 35% health use this as your primary damage ability for the greatest effect, as it produces a 90% damage bonus.

Reverse Slice

Other enemies nearby take a percentage of the damage inflicted to the primary target.

Executioner

Increases the amount of bonus damage to low-Health targets.

Momentum

Granting Major Brutality and a long-lasting healing effect, Momentum offers a great mix of offensive and defensive utility. Those who plan to adventure alone should take special notice of the Rally morph—it makes this ability one of the best Stamina-based self-heals available to most classes.

Forward Momentum

Reduces the cost and provides a brief immunity to snares and immobilizations.

Rally

Also heals you when the effect expires.

Passive Abilities

The Two-Handed skill line features five Passive Abilities, each of which has two ranks.

None of the available Passives are tied to specific abilities. If you utilize a two-handed weapon, it’s recommended that you invest in all Two-Handed Passives.
