The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind eGuide Training Archetypes Stamina DPS

The Beastmaster

Class: Warden

Race: Wood Elf

Attribute Focus: Stamina

Weapon Types: Bow, Two-Handed

Armor Focus: Medium

Mundus Stone: Thief

Bar 1: Bow

Key Abilities
Ability Description
Poison Injection: Morphed from Poison Arrow (Bow). This is your ranged damage-over-time effect. It deals bonus Poison Damage to enemies below 50% Health, but it’s almost always worth using.
Cutting Dive: Morphed from Dive (Warden > Animal Companions). This is your primary ranged attack. Use it once your damage-over-time effect is in place.
Bull Netch: Morphed from Betty Netch (Warden > Animal Companions). This free-cast ability grants Major Brutality and Major Sorcery, increasing Weapon and Spell Damage by 20%. It also restores Stamina for the duration of the effect. It lasts quite a while, so keep it active during any fight.
Green Lotus: Morphed from Lotus Flower (Warden > Green Balance). This Magicka ability restores Health to you or a nearby ally, based on the damage done by your light and heavy attacks. It also grants you Major Savagery, increasing your Weapon Critical for the duration of the effect.
Wild Guardian: Morphed from Feral Guardian (Warden > Animal Companions). This Ultimate Ability summons a grizzly to fight by your side. While the grizzly is active, the ability converts to Guardian’s Savagery—activating it causes the grizzly to deal heavy Physical Damage to its target. Targets under 25% Health take twice the damage. It’s placed on both Action Bars to prevent the grizzly from vanishing when you swap weapons.

This is your ranged-attack Bar. It also contains some long-lasting buff abilities. Consider placing Arrow Spray (Bow) or one of its morphs in the remaining slot. The combination of damage and crowd control can be very useful. Bird of Prey (Warden > Animal Companions) is also a good choice. Otherwise, add any ability you like.

Bar 2: Two-Handed

Key Abilities
Ability Description
Wrecking Blow: Morphed from Uppercut (Two-Handed). This is your main short-range attack. It deals heavy damage and grants Empower, increasing the damage of your next attack by 20%.
Brawler: Morphed from Cleave (Two-Handed). This short-range multi-target attack applies Bleeding to all affected enemies. It also grants you a damage shield that increases in strength based on the number of enemies it hits. Use it to improve your DPS and survivability during close combat.
Subterranean Assault: Morphed from Scorch (Warden > Animal Companions). This area-of-effect ability deals Poison Damage to enemies in front of you. It also applies Major Breach and Major Defile to all affected targets, reducing their Spell Resistance and Physical Resistance.
Soothing Spores: Morphed from Fungal Growth (Warden > Green Balance). This instant-cast Stamina ability heals you and any allies in your frontal cone. Allies standing less than eight meters away receive more Health. It’s a great self-heal and a good way to support your group.

This is your close-combat Bar. Use it when your enemies move into range or when you need to heal yourself. Again, Bird of Prey (Warden > Animal Companions) is a good option for the remaining slot, but the Two-Handed skill line has a few abilities also worth considering. Of course, you’re free to slot anything you feel might be of use.

Priority Passives

Whether or not you add a Winter’s Embrace ability to your Bar, make sure you invest in the Icy Aura and Piercing Cold Passives. For Green Balance, Maturation will probably be the most useful. It’s fairly safe to delay (or even avoid) further investments in those skill lines. Other than that, try to invest in all core Passives as they become available.

Equipment Recommendations

Weapons
Priority Trait: Sharpened
Priority Enchantment: Weapon Damage
Until you obtain something from the Maelstrom Arena or a high-level set, use the highest-quality weapons you can find.
Look for weapons that feature the Sharpened trait—they tend to yield the most overall damage. Precise is also worth considering. As for enchantments, favor Weapon Damage for both your bow and your backup weapon.
Armor
Priority Trait: Divines
Priority Enchantment: Maximum Stamina
You’ll want to wear at least five pieces of medium armor at all times. You must also equip light/heavy armor pieces to take advantage of the Undaunted Mettle Passive Ability, but there’s nothing wrong with going for a full suit of medium armor.
The bonuses offered by various armor sets are well worth chasing, but you’ll always benefit from using the best options available to you. Look for medium armor that offers Maximum Stamina enchantments as you work toward obtaining high-level gear. Divines is the most popular trait for PvE content, but Infused can be very effective on head, chest, and leg pieces.
Jewelry
Priority Trait: Robust
Priority Enchantment: Weapon Damage
Until you manage to track down useful set pieces, use anything that increases Maximum Stamina and Weapon Damage.
