The Scarlet Judge needs your assistance with his current investigation. Iron Hound mobs occupy much of the surrounding territory, so remain alert. Talk to one of the prisoners southwest of Suran, kill Overseer Torvayn, and then collect testimony from the three prisoners working the nearby land. They lead you to two manors west of town.

Investigate the manors.

Enter Master Kharekh’s Manor, take out the mobs inside, and descend to the lower level, where a Letter to Kharekh gra-Bagrat (Lorebook) sits on a console table. Find Mistress Dren’s Manor west of Suran on the lake. Fight your way into the house, climb to the third floor, and pick the lock to reach Mistress Dren’s Residence. Collect the Letter to Marshal Hlaren (Lorebook) from the corner table.

After talking to the Scarlet Judge at Ules Manor, find the Iron Hound camp north of Suran. Smash four Supply Crates and burn three Weapon Caches around the ruins. Captain Cedus stands near one of the weapon racks. Either kill her or flee the area after burning the weapons. Return to Suran and talk to Constable Gretga to find out the judge has been jailed.

Three people on the south side of town can assist you in obtaining a key to Suran Prison. At the Keymaker’s Tower, Remas Belan can be intimidated to make you the key. Constable Kren and Dredyni Imayn are both at Desele’s House of Earthly Delights. Dredyni mentions Mirel’s key that lies next to his body on an island to the south. Constable Kren gives up the key, but at a cost.

Intimidating Remas Belan is the optimal method to obtain the key.
Ancient Arrow Tomb of Ondre Veloth
Ornate Goblet Tomb of Valyne Veloth

Sack of Grain Tomb of Elms Veloth

Enter Suran Prison on the northeast side of town, sneak downstairs—using hiding spots to avoid being spotted by the Hireling Guards—and find Melar Sadus. Follow his lead and travel to Warden Libo’s Hunting Camp north of Suran. Upon arrival, two tasks become available: Collect Captain Lido’s Chest Key and The Scarlet Judge’s Regalia.

Sneak through Suran Prison to find Melar Sadus.

An Iron Hound Tracker sits at the campfire, the chest is next to a nearby tree, and the Warden patrols between the two locations. It’s possible to sneak to the chest and pick the simple lock to gain the disguise. Or take out Warden Libo to get his chest key.

Recover the Scarlet Judge’s Regalia from Warden Libo.

Return to Gretga and then head east to the back entrance to Inanius Egg Mine. Explore the Kwama- and Iron Hound-infested mine while recovering the three pieces of evidence. The Slave Testimony counts as a Lorebook. Farther inside, confront and defeat Marshal Hlaren before handing the evidence over to Constable Gretga just outside the nearby exit. Visit Melar Sadus, who now sits outside the prison, to complete the quest.

Confront Marshal Hlaren inside Inanius Egg Mine.
