Merchants offer gear, supplies, and materials in exchange for gold. These vendors are typically found in the cities of Tamriel, but they can also be found in smaller towns and traveling between locations. Special vendors are found in Cyrodiil and the Imperial City, offering goods in exchange for Alliance Points and Tel Var Stones. Vendors also give you the opportunity to repair all of your armor in exchange for gold.

Guild Traders
Look for Guild Traders, often found in groups, in the cities of Tamriel. These servants sell items put up for sale by members of a certain guild that owns that store. Search by item type, price range, level range, and quality.
Sometimes items sold by Guild Traders are overpriced and other times a great deal can be had, but they’re a great convenience and can serve as one-stop shops. Depending on the guild’s commitment to the store, a Guild Trader often holds a wide variety of items—including goods that are rare and hard to acquire.
Guilds participate in a blind bid that lasts one week to win a Guild Trader’s services for the next full week. You can only bid on one trader at a time. If a trader is currently available, he or she can be hired through the week for a flat fee. A guild must have 50 members to hire this service.
