The Forgotten Wastes group event takes place on the west side of the outdoor area, out front of the Sixth House stronghold. At the top of the steps, a ceremony begins with two Flame Atronachs, two Clarion Seers, and two Tormentors—as the three bosses continue the ritual from the balconies above. Clear out the mobs to get at the first boss, Stone-Boiler Omalas.
The three bosses appear one at a time, along with a crowd of trash mobs. Their abilities are very similar, including the ability to spawn and heal an Iron Atronach, along with one or two fire skills.
The first one possesses the Heat Wave skill, which sends a fire attack straight along the ground. The second boss, Brander Releth, has the Fire Rune ability, which launches two rings of fire onto the ground. The final boss, Mountain-Caller Hlaren, has the capability to use both of these skills and summon two Iron Atronachs, making her less predictable and tougher to deal with.
Have a player stay close to the boss while others deal with the lesser mobs, since the Iron Atronach summon, heal, and Heat Wave can all be interrupted. When the boss crosses his or her arms, an Iron Atronach is incoming.
Note that all mobs must be defeated before the next boss joins the fight. If the group is wiped out and revives at the spot, progress is not lost.
Don’t forget the usual buffs to improve your odds of success, such as high-level food and an appropriate Mundus Stone. Stay on the move to avoid the Fire Rune attack, step to the side to avoid the Heat Wave, and do what you can to keep Iron Atronachs out of the fight. When the Iron Atronach dies, waves of lava are sent from its location, so remain aware.
