The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind eGuide Training Archetypes Healers

The Invoker

Class: Sorcerer

Race: Breton

Attribute Focus: Magicka

Weapon Types: Destruction Staff, Restoration Staff

Armor Focus: Light

Mundus Stone: Thief

Bar 1: Destruction Staff (Lightning Staff)

Key Abilities
Ability Description
Force Pulse: Morphed from Force Shock (Destruction Staff). This is your main ability for single-target damage.
Liquid Lightning: Morphed from Lightning Splash (Sorcerer > Storm Calling). This is your main AoE/DOT ability. While it’s active, allies can use the Conduit Synergy to deal additional Shock Damage to nearby enemies.
Mage’s Wrath: Morphed from Mage’s Fury (Sorcerer > Storm Calling). Use this powerful execute ability whenever your target’s Health drops below 20%.
Crystal Fragments: Morphed from Crystal Shard (Sorcerer > Dark Magic). Casting any other Magicka ability has a chance of reducing this spell’s cost, eliminating its cast time, and increasing its damage. Use it only when this effect is triggered.
Summon Twilight Matriarch: Morphed from Summon Winged Twilight (Sorcerer > Daedric Summoning). While summoned, this minion fights by your side, dealing Shock Damage to its chosen target. Activating the Twilight Matriarch’s special ability causes it to heal itself and up to two nearby allies. This ability is kept on both Action Bars to prevent your minion from vanishing when you swap weapons.
Elemental Rage: Morphed from Elemental Storm (Destruction Staff). This is your offensive Ultimate Ability. Use it to deal heavy area-of-effect damage over time.

This is your attack Bar. It contains all of your offensive abilities. Use it whenever you’re free to deal damage. Because Twilight Matriarch is featured on both Action Bars, this loadout uses all available slots. Of course, this also means that your minion’s activated heal is always available.

Bar 2: Restoration Staff

Key Abilities
Ability Description
Mutagen: Morphed from Regeneration (Restoration Staff). Grants healing over time for you or up to two nearby allies. If an affected target’s Health drops below 20%, the spell is consumed, removing one negative effect and granting an instant heal.
Healing Springs: Morphed from Grant Healing (Restoration Staff). This area-of-effect ability grants an instant heal to you and any allies located within the target area. Remaining in the area grants additional healing for a short time. You also restore Magicka based on the number of friendly targets affected by the initial heal.
Combat Prayer: Morphed from Blessing of Protection (Restoration Staff). Use this ability to heal yourself and allies in front of you. Those affected also gain Minor Berserk, Minor Resolve, and Minor Ward, increasing damage done, Physical Resistance, and Spell Resistance.
Absorption Field: Morphed from Negate Magic (Sorcerer > Dark Magic). This ranged Ultimate Ability conjures a globe of magic suppression. Enemies within the targeted area are stunned or silenced for 10 seconds; enemy-placed effects within the target area are immediately dispelled. The globe also heals friendly targets for the duration of the effect.

This is your support Bar. Use it to apply buffs and cast heals. You can use the remaining slot for any ability you find helpful, but consider choosing another heal or an ability that helps with resource management.

Priority Passives

Invest in all of your core Passives, then look to other skill lines for useful abilities.

Equipment Recommendations

Weapons
Priority Trait: Sharpened
Priority Enchantment: Spell Damage
For your main weapon, use the best Lightning Staff you can find. Look for something that features the Sharpened trait and a Spell Damage enchantment until you obtain a top-tier staff.
You’ll always want a Restoration Staff as your backup weapon. Given the choice, look for staves that feature traits like Precise, Powered, or Decisive. An Absorb Magicka enchantment is always a good option.
Armor
Priority Trait: Divines
Priority Enchantment: Maximum Magicka
Always equip at least five pieces of light armor. The related Passives grant you some very important benefits. If you’ve invested in the Undaunted Mettle Passive Ability, it’s often best to equip medium/heavy armor pieces in the remaining slots. Still, a complete set of light armor works well in most cases.
Equipment that grants suitable set bonuses is always your best option. Until you find something you like, look for light armor that offers Maximum Magicka enchantments. Divines is a popular choice, but Infused can be very effective on head, chest, and leg pieces.
Jewelry
Priority Trait: Arcane
Priority Enchantment: Reduce Spell Cost
Until you manage to track down useful set pieces, use anything that reduces the Magicka cost of your spells.
