The Dark Brotherhood skill line contains six Passive Abilities. Scales of Pitiless Justice and Padomaic Sprint each offers four ranks. All remaining Passives are singe-rank abilities.
Blade of Woe does not require a Skill Point. It becomes available as soon as the Dark Brotherhood skill line is unlocked.
Dark Brotherhood Passive Abilities generally deal with assassinating NPCs. However, the Shadow Rider Passive is an excellent option for day-to-day adventuring or resource-gathering.
Dark Brotherhood Passive Abilities

| Blade of Woe | Call the weapon of the Dark Brotherhood to your hand and deliver a killing blow to an unsuspecting target. Experience from this target is reduced by 75%. Does not work on players or difficult targets. |
| Scales of Pitiless Justice | Bounty and Heat resulting from a witnessed murder or assault are reduced by up to 50%. |
| Padomaic Sprint | Grants Major Expedition, increasing your movement speed by 30% for up to 12 seconds after killing a Justice NPC. |
| Shadowy Supplier | A contact from the Brotherhood provides beneficial items once per day. |
| Shadow Rider | Aggression radius from hostile monsters is decreased by 50% while mounted. |
| Spectral Assassin | Grants a 15% chance to shroud you when using the Blade of Woe, shielding you from being witnessed and receiving a Bounty. |
