The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind eGuide Adventuring Across Tamriel Items of Note and Interest

Item Storage

The thousands of items available from vendors, enemy drops, quest rewards, and containers can be overwhelming for a newcomer to Elder Scrolls Online. The goal of this section is to make sense of each item type, so you can make the best use of everything the game has to offer.

A player begins the game with 60 inventory spaces, with the option to upgrade at a Bag Merchant, found in most major cities. Add 10 slots at a time, up to a maximum of 140.

A bank, accessible at major cities, allows for an additional 60 items. ESO Plus members receive double the bank space with the Morrowind update. This too is upgradable, with the addition of 10 spaces per purchase, up to a maximum of 240. Note that these upgrades get more expensive the higher you go. This allows ESO Plus subscribers to reach 480 spaces.

With an active mount, upgrade carrying capacity at a Stablemaster to add one inventory space at a time, up to an additional 60.

It takes a whole lot of gold and time to reach maximum capacity, but even then, it’s possible to fill up your storage—especially when participating in all crafting disciplines.
