The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind eGuide Training Archetypes Stamina DPS

The Depraved

Class: Dragonknight

Race: Reguard

Attribute Focus: Stamina

Weapon Types: Dual Wield, Bow

Armor Focus: Medium

Mundus Stone: Warrior

Bar 1: Dual Wield

Key Abilities
Ability Description
Noxious Breath: Morphed from Fiery Breath (Dragonknight > Ardent Flame). This multi-target attack applies Poison Damage over time and Major Fracture, reducing the Physical Resistance of afflicted enemies. Use it as soon as you get into range. Reapply as needed.
Venomous Claw: Morphed from Searing Strikes (Dragonknight > Ardent Flame). This single-target poison attack inflicts Poison Damage over time. Apply to individual targets after using Noxious Breath.
Bloodthirst: Morphed from Flurry (Dual Wield). This is your primary single-target attack. It also heals you for a percentage of the damage done by the attack’s final blow. Use it once your damage-over-time effects are in place.
Flames of Oblivion: Morphed from Inferno (Dragonknight > Ardent Flame). While slotted, this ability grants Major Savagery, increasing your Weapon Critical rating. It’s a Magicka ability, but its Flame Damage scales off of your highest resource. Activate it for a nice boost in DPS.
Corrosive Armor: Morphed from Magma Armor (Dragonknight > Earthen Heart). This Ultimate Ability greatly reduces incoming damage, deals AoE/DOT Poison Damage, and allows your attacks to ignore an enemy’s Physical Resistance. Use it to boost your damage and survivability when you’re on the front lines.

This is your main attack Bar. Use it to deal damage when you’re in or near melee range. Afflict your enemies with poison effects, then use Bloodthirst to deal direct damage. Use the remaining Bar slot to add utility or additional damage over time.

Bar 2: Bow

Key Abilities
Ability Description
Igneous Weapons: Morphed from Molten Weapons (Dragonknight > Earthen Heart). This popular group buff grants Major Sorcery and Major Brutality, increasing both Spell and Weapon Damage. Try to keep it active for the duration of any fight.
Green Dragon Blood: Morphed from Dragon Blood (Dragonknight > Draconic Power). This Magicka ability restores a percentage of your missing Health. It also grants you Major Fortitude, increasing your Health Recovery and Stamina Recovery by 20%, and Major Vitality, increasing your healing received by 8%. It’s a good self-heal with some long-lasting buffs.
Poison Injection: Morphed from Poison Arrow (Bow). This ranged attack deals a good amount of Poison Damage over time, but it gets considerably more powerful when the target’s Health drops below 50%. Use it to weaken your target as you move into melee range, when you need to keep your distance, or when you need a damage boost against low-Health enemies.
Acid Spray: Morphed from Arrow Spray (Bow). This ranged attack poisons and snares multiple enemies. The damage is a nice bonus, but it’s mostly used for crowd control.
Toxic Barrage: Morphed from Rapid Fire (Bow). This channeled Ultimate Ability deals heavy Poison Damage over time. It’s a devastating ranged attack that’s sure to come in handy.

This is your ranged/support Bar. Use it to apply buffs, heal yourself, and poison enemies from a distance. Depending on how often you use ranged attacks, consider placing Flames of Oblivion in the remaining Bar slot. Doing so ensures you always benefit from Major Savagery.

Priority Passives

While you should invest in all of your core Passives, take special note of Mountain’s Blessing (Dragonknight > Earthen Heart). In addition to improving Ultimate generation, this Passive Ability grants Minor Brutality to you and all nearby allies whenever you activate an Earthen Heart ability. Investing in this Passive makes Igneous Weapons an even more powerful buff.

Equipment Recommendations

Weapons
Priority Trait: Sharpened
Priority Enchantment: Weapon Damage
Once you’ve invested in the Dual Wield Passives, the Weapon Critical bonus from daggers will probably result in the greatest damage gain. However, every weapon type has its benefit, so it’s worth experimenting with different combinations.
Your best weapon options come from the Maelstrom Arena or high-level sets. Until you manage to get ahold of top-tier items, use the highest-quality versions you find, buy, or craft.
Sharpened and Precise are both great traits, and you’d do well to consider any level-appropriate weapon that features one of them. As for enchantments, favor Weapon Damage for your main hand. A Crushing enchantment would be a good choice for your off-hand weapon.
The combination of Sharpened and Weapon Damage also works well for your bow.
Armor
Priority Trait: Divines
Priority Enchantment: Maximum Stamina
Equip no fewer than five pieces of medium armor once you’ve invested in the related Passives. Unless you’re taking advantage of the Undaunted Mettle Passive Ability, seven pieces of medium armor should help maximize your damage output.
Equipment that grants suitable set bonuses is always your best option. If crafting isn’t possible, look for medium armor that offers Maximum Stamina enchantments as you track down more powerful gear. Divines tends to be the most useful trait for PvE content, but consider using head, chest, and leg pieces that offer the Infused trait.
Jewelry
Priority Trait: Robust
Priority Enchantment: Weapon Damage
Until you manage to track down useful set pieces, use anything that increases Weapon Damage.
