Mundus Stone: The Thief
Bar 1: Destruction Staff (Flame Staff)
Key Abilities
| Ability | Description |
|---|---|
|
Force Pulse: Morphed from Force Shock (Destruction Staff). This is your main ability for single-target damage. |
|
Mage’s Wrath: Morphed from Mage’s Fury (Sorcerer > Storm Calling). A powerful execute ability. Use it when the target’s Health drops below 20%. |
|
Crystal Fragments: Morphed from Crystal Shard (Sorcerer > Dark Magic). Casting any other Magicka ability has a chance of reducing this spell’s cost, eliminating its cast time, and increasing its damage. Use it only when this effect is triggered. |
|
Volatile Familiar: Morphed from Unstable Familiar (Sorcerer > Daedric Summoning). This minion can add a good amount of single-target damage, and it has a great area-of-effect pulse. |
|
Inner Light: Morphed from Magelight (Mages Guild). Slot this to boost your Maximum Magicka and Spell Critical. Use it when you need to reveal a stealthed player. |
|
Shooting Star: Morphed from Meteor (Mages Guild). Use this powerful Ultimate Ability during boss encounters. |
This is your main attack Bar. Use it while your longer-lasting abilities are in place and dealing damage. Volatile Familiar needs to be placed on both Action Bars, so it’s taking up what would normally be a flex slot.
Bar 2: Destruction Staff (Flame Staff)
Key Abilities
| Ability | Description |
|---|---|
|
Liquid Lightning: Morphed from Lightning Splash (Sorcerer > Storm Calling). This powerful AoE/DOT ability should be kept up for the duration of any fight. While it’s active, allies can use the Conduit Synergy to deal additional Shock Damage to nearby enemies. |
|
Haunting Curse: Morphed from Daedric Curse (Sorcerer > Daedric Summoning). A powerful single-target attack with some area-of-effect splash damage. Recast as needed. |
|
Elemental Blockade: Morphed from Wall of Elements (Destruction Staff). A very damaging ability that should be active at all times during any encounter. |
|
Volatile Familiar: Morphed from Unstable Familiar (Sorcerer > Daedric Summoning). This ability is slotted on both Action Bars to prevent your minion from vanishing each time you swap weapons. Remember to pulse its area-of-effect attack as needed. |
|
Elemental Rage: Morphed from Elemental Storm (Destruction Staff). This Ultimate Ability changes based on your staff type, but it hits hard with Flame Staves. Use it to clear out groups of weaker enemies. |
This is your AoE/DOT Bar. Use it to initiate or maintain longer-lasting attacks, then swap back to your main Action Bar. If you’re looking for more survivability, consider placing Bound Aegis in your flex slot. Otherwise, use any ability you feel is helpful.
Priority Passives
No surprises here. Invest in all of your core Passives as they become available.
Equipment Recommendations
| Weapons |
|---|
| Priority Trait: Sharpened |
| Priority Enchantment: Spell Damage |
| When it comes to maximizing your damage, stick with Flame Staves—preferably those featuring the Sharpened trait. Until you’re able to obtain a set piece or something from the Maelstrom, use the best Flame Staves available to you. |
| Given the choice, look for staves that include Spell Damage enchantments. |
| Armor |
|---|
| Priority Trait: Divines |
| Priority Enchantment: Maximum Magicka |
| Always equip at least five pieces of light armor. The related Passives grant you some very important benefits. If you’ve invested in the Undaunted Mettle Passive Ability, remember to equip medium/heavy armor pieces in the remaining slots. |
| Equipment that grants suitable set bonuses is always your best option. Look for light armor that offers Maximum Magicka enchantments as you work toward obtaining high-level gear. Divines tends to be the most useful trait for Damage-Dealers, so keep an eye out for any options that cross your path. |
| Jewelry |
|---|
| Priority Trait: Arcane |
| Priority Enchantment: Spell Damage |
| Until you manage to track down useful set pieces, use anything that increases Maximum Magicka and Spell Damage. |
