A temple sits just inside each border keep. Each temple holds an offensive or defensive Elder Scroll at the start of the campaign. The Elder Scroll is well-protected by alliance guards, as well as by a nearby Artifact Gate. This gate cannot be opened by opposing alliances without first capturing the two nearest keeps.

Each alliance begins with two Elder Scrolls, one offensive and one defensive. Another alliance may capture a scroll and store it upon a scroll pedestal inside one of their own keeps, with a bonus awarded to every player of that alliance. In order to capture another alliance’s scroll, your side must control its own scroll of the same type. A scroll originally stored at an alliance’s temple must be returned to that temple. Refer to the bonuses table earlier in this chapter for details on the bonuses given.
