The largest city on Vvardenfell, Vivec City resides on the southern coast of the island and comprises a series of island “cantons”—pyramid-like structures that are specific districts. The largest of these cantons is the palace where the Living God Vivec is said to dwell.

| Related Quest: | Divine Restoration |
The hidden city of Clockwork Guardians and other oddities is accessible during the related quest, when you reach the Archcanon’s Office in Vivec City. Enter the portal to be transported to this underground Dwemer kingdom, where you and Barilzar must battle through the catacombs.
Interior 1 (Seht’s Vault): A vast entrance bridge contains Daedric forces you must overcome before facing and defeating a Clockwork Guardian and opening the Clockwork City.
Interior 2 (Dockworks): Step out of the portal from Seht’s Vault, and start exploring. Your only option is to access Maintenance Junction.
Interior 3 (Maintenance Junction): Head down the grated corridors to the trap-filled gate area, where Factotums must be fended off before the gate is unlocked. Northeast you can reach the Access Bridge. A boss named Jovval lurks on the northern platform corridor.
Interior 4 (Access Bridge): This is the only way forward and allows you to reach the Engineering Junction almost immediately.
Interior 5 (Engineering Junction): Expect Fabricants to attack as you wind through a large corridor area with traps and alcoves.
Interior 6 (Atelier Courtyard): In this ornate courtyard, you have a chat with Barilzar before heading into the Divinity Atelier.
Interior 7 (Divinity Atelier): Barbas activates a fearsome Clockwork Defense Core in this platform area. Destroy it, remove the gate barriers, and destroy two more cores before facing Barbas.
Interior 8 (Shrine to Clavicus Vile): Your final destination is a small shrine room with a large daedric prince to talk to!
