At any Mages Guild, speak with the Magister, or simply collect a Lorebook, to join the guild and gain access to their skills. Next, find Valaste or Adelle Montagne at a guildhall to begin the first quest, Long Lost Lore. Collecting Lorebooks increases your rank in the guild. Beyond the nine story quests, daily quests require you to retrieve an artifact from a random public dungeon.
Pick up the Passive Ability Persuasive Will for the ability to persuade NPCs during certain conversations. Doing so may reduce the legwork of a quest.
