In addition to the crafting stations for each profession, there are special stations available at specific crafting sites across Tamriel, indicated by the icon shown. These are of particular importance, as you can craft sets of items, which enable additional bonuses (usually combat-related) to be imbued. Only certain crafting sites allow the creation of craftable sets, and sets are only available to the Blacksmithing, Clothing, and Woodworking professions.
Depending upon your alliance, specific locations allow the creation of certain sets, usually one site per alliance territory, or neutral zones for other set types. After researching a given number of traits, you utilize the crafting site and craft the effects of the set for your chosen equipment. Note the minimum number of traits you need to craft a set is two, and the maximum is nine.
There are other craftable sets, available once you’ve completed quests for certain guilds, such as the Fighters Guild or Mages Guild.
