Once all 30 Ancestral Tomb rubbings are collected for Librarian Bradyn, he offers a second quest—to find the lost Library of Andule. Examine the missing piece of the model to discover its location, east of the volcano and southeast of Falensarano Ruins. Proceed inside.
Examine the statue to the left before moving to the floor puzzle. Examine the three Daedric Tiles before the doorway and memorize the symbols. In order to walk through the next room, you may only move between these symbols. Stray from them and you’re reset to the beginning. Make your way to the two braziers, Wisdom in the southeast corner and Knowledge to the north, and light them to allow access to the Ancient Vaults.
Four Lorebooks are available in the hallway ahead, one for each house: Indoril, Redoran, Hlaalu, and Dres. Reading them provides the answers needed to retrieve each Genealogy. Let’s start with House Dres on the right. Talk to the Dres Ancestor Spirit and provide the following answers to gain access to the Dres Genealogy:
“House Dres holds slavery to be their sacred right and duty.”
“Because Dres feeds Morrowind with its agricultural might.”
“Dres believes Dunmer should keep to themselves and focus on improving Morrowind.”
House Indoril is the first room on the left. Answer the Indoril Ancestor Spirit’s questions as follows to earn the Indoril Genealogy:
“Religion.”
“Be preserved at all costs.”
“Outsiders may visit, but they must always be watched carefully.”
House Hlaalu sits down the hall on the right. Speak to the Hlaalu Ancestor Spirit and answer as follows before collecting the Hlaalu Genealogy:
“Succeed at business and turn a tidy profit.”
“Compromise while always seeking to obtain the best possible deal.”
“Acknowledge Dunmer culture, but adapt as necessary to succeed.”
And last, talk to the Redoran Ancestor Spirit and answer his questions as listed below to retrieve the Redoran Genealogy:
“To fulfill your duty and maintain your honor.”
“We must accept and endure the harshness of life.”
“The way of the warrior.”
With the four Genealogies in hand, collect the Telvanni Genealogy at the end of the hall. Return to Librarian Bradyn.
