The Seeds of Vengeance

The Blood Tree Camp orcs have turned a treant grove into a logging site, and the treant community is out for blood. Well, this is Aubrey we’re talking about, so it’s more like “mildly interested in revenge, or not. Whatever.” But if it involves killing orcs, we’re in. After progressing to the Immortal Woods phase of the “Denial, Anger, Initiative” story mission, you can return to The Forest and accept this mission.

Aubrey gives you a sapling, which you can plant in the heart of the Blood Tree Camp. The sapling slowly grows into adulthood. Any orcs in the area will rush in to attack the sapling, so try to clear out the location before you plant it. If more orcs spawn in, engage them at a distance so they can’t approach the sapling.

You can find Aubrey atop a hill in the northeast part of the map.

The sapling eventually grows into a treant named Mosstache, who then slowly makes his way around the camp, smashing the huts. New orcs spawn in for this phase, and once again, you’ll be responsible for keeping Mosstache alive. He’s very good at defending himself, but the attacks slow down his work significantly. Prioritize any Badass Orc Warlords that attempt to interfere, as they can repeatedly level up if you don’t defeat them quickly.

The orcs attack the sapling with wild abandon, so you can battle them without having to worry much about your own safety.

Flame weapons are generally effective against orcs. Don’t worry about Mosstache; he’s immune to your friendly fire.
