Years ago, Handsome Jack tortured Patricia Tannis and stole the Vault Key from her. Tannis, for some reason, wants you to find her missing journals wherein she chronicles what Jack and his men did to her.

Availability: Speak to Tannis in Sanctuary after “Hidden Journals.”

Find the five ECHO Recorders associated with this mission and you’ll learn about some horrible things that happened to Tannis. The ECHO Recorders are all scattered around Sanctuary, making this a quick and easy mission to complete while running errands in town. Waypoints mark their location on the in-game map, but their locations are detailed below just in case you have trouble finding them.

One of the ECHO Recorders is on a shelf near Claptrap’s Super Secret Stash. You might need to reach behind him to reach it if he’s there.

This ECHO Recorder is behind the privacy curtain inside Dr. Zed’s clinic.

The third ECHO Recorder is behind some old tires outside Scooter’s Garage on the edge of town. Don’t fall off!

Another ECHO Recorder is in the alley beside Moxxi’s Bar. It’s in the pile of debris.

The final ECHO Recorder is tucked away inside a garbage dumpster near Marcus’ store.
