Hyperion’s workforce under Handsome Jack’s management are all expected to be combat engineers, able to drop the civic tasks of planning whole blocks and erecting buildings to fight whatever thresher, marauder, or Vault Hunter might be at hand to meddle with the vision of Hyperion.
There are many ranks within Hyperion’s personal peacekeeping force, and different specializations possible for the modern Hyperion soldier. On the battlefield, Hyperion Engineers coordinate their attacks with Hyperion Constructors, Loaders, and Surveyors, too. Like some of the bandit clans, Hyperion soldiers will also take cover and try to use the environment to their advantage.
Combat Engineer
TVHM name: Battle Architect
This is the basic Hyperion foot soldier, armed with a sub-machinegun and grenades. These adversaries work together, using cover and grenades, to fight their targets of interest. This may have just been a guy trying to make ends meet on Pandora, but now he’s a cog in the Hyperion machine, so too bad for him.

Engineer
TVHM name: Architect
These powered suits give Hyperion engineers augmented abilities when working on contracted projects. The suits also allow them to jump up or down great distances, and attack physically with enhanced force. The miniature waldo system doesn’t actually add any armor to the user, though, so they are still vulnerable to fire.

Hyperion Sniper
TVHM name: Hyperion Assassin
These are Hyperion soldiers armed with, surprise, long-range sniper rifles. You can detect their presence by the tell-tale red laser sight training over and nearby your character. This is an obvious sign to watch out. Hyperion Snipers may be counter-sniped with your own sniper rifle, or dispensed with using Action Skills, or simply rushed on foot—their close-range expertise is not like their long game.

Hyperion Soldier
TVHM name: Hyperion Commando
The Hyperion Soldier is a step up from the Hyperion Engineer in terms of armaments. This elite unit is sporting armor that helps deflect Fire, so use Corrosive rounds to eat through the armor instead. Hyperion Soldiers sport an assault rifle rather than an SMG, and throw grenades to flush enemies from cover. They may also take some time to set up their own turret in the midst of battle, which creates another hazard for you to deal with.

Hyperion Infiltrator
TVHM name: Hyperion Spy
These dangerous shotgun-toting units have been trained extensively in stealth, and that’s before they’re outfitted with top-of-the-line cloaking technology. While Hyperion Infiltrators possess any remaining shield energy, they can cloak just like a stalker, phasing out of visible existence and going beyond the reach of many auto-targeting abilities. Take their shields down as soon as possible to prevent Infiltrators from re-cloaking, and watch out for them decloaking and opening fire near you—shotgun bullets are bad for your complexion.

Hyperion Hawk
TVHM name: Hyperion Raptor
These acrobatic and daring Hyperion fighters can call extra surveyors into battle to aid local Loaders with shield and limb repair. Apart from calling in the extra air support, they also directly assist their friends with ranged rocket launcher fire. But more impressively, Hyperion Hawks will sometimes even take the opportunity to hitch a ride on a patrolling surveyor, suddenly becoming a nuts mobile rocket launcher platform.

Foreman Jasper
TVHM name: Foreman Rusty
Opportunity is a vast enterprise, with several yards featuring ground breaking into new construction projects for new areas of the growing city. Foreman Jasper is the overseer of many of these construction gigs, and you’ll be tasked with giving him a very stern talking to during the “Hell Hath No Fury” optional mission.

Loot Midget Combat Engineer
You never quite know what you’re going to get when you open up a loot container. Money? Eridium? A new grenade or firearm or shield? Or how about a nails-tough tiny Badass version of an enemy, stuffed to overflowing with money and ammo? That’s what this is, a greedy midget version of a Badass Combat Engineer.
