Babysitting at the Tower of Protection
Once you accept this quest (which Murderlin will only offer after you’ve completed the first five rounds of Magic Slaughter), Murderlin will open up a massive new region of his temple. There you’ll find the area’s second Cult of the Vault symbol (just head inside, turn around, and look left of the doorway), as well as Murderlin’s gelatinous brood.
Once you’ve spoken to the lad, Murderlin will activate the Tower of Protection, and you’ll rise a good distance off the ground. You’ll do all your fighting from atop the tower, blasting distant Orc Zappers and Fire Hoppers who come rushing at it with their explosive barrels. There are five waves of foes in all, and in each new wave the enemies get faster. Stopping all of the foes in the final wave is nearly impossible, so it’s important to keep the tower from taking much damage in the early waves so that you can afford several hits in waves 4 and 5.
Accurate, fast-firing weapons are the best way to pop the explosive cargo of your targets. Watch your map, and prioritize targets who are clustered together, as one explosion could kill both foes. The Magic Missile grenade (a random drop from Wizards and Necromancers) is fantastic here, since the two missiles will seek out foes who have come dangerously close while you focus on more distant targets.
You really don’t have time for scopes, so just fire a volley of bullets and move on.
Magic Missiles are fantastic when you have foes coming from multiple directions.
The Winged Storm
The Winged Storm consists of an arena nestled within the ruins of an ancient city. There’s only one reason to come here, and that’s battling the Ancient Dragons of Destruction, the official raid boss encounter of Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.
Cult of the Vault
Go to the stairs that lead to the gate from which you would drop down into the arena. Travel north from the stairs, walking along a thin, rocky path on the cliff’s edge. After circling around the ruins, you’ll see a Cult of the Vault symbol beneath your feet.
