Mission Briefing

Piston has betrayed you. He drugged you, had you taken out of the Arena, and convinced everyone that you ran away like a coward. Unfortunately, since he was also your sponsor, you are currently unable to rise up in the leaderboards. Mr. Torgue has suggested that you find a new sponsor there. As it turns out, a gladiator named Pyro Pete has kidnapped the sponsor you’ve been looking for. He’ll give the sponsor up, but only if you start some trouble in Pyro Pete’s. You have literally no reason to believe he’ll keep his word, but, you know. Eh.

Picking on the Big Guys

Pyro Pete’s two-story bar is filled with a number of Torgue Engineers, Tunnel Rats, Burner Bruisers, and several Badass Enforcers. They’re all happy to walk about and ignore you as long as you don’t start any trouble. The battle and the 5:00 timer both begin the moment you fire the first shot. This battle doesn’t have multiple waves; instead, you must kill all of the badass enemies present in the bar before the time runs out.

Most of the Badass Enforcers tend to enter on the second floor.

The strategy for surviving the Bar Room Blitz involves staying on the move, leaving several of the lesser enemies standing so you have something to Second Wind off of if necessary, and using plenty of grenades to soften up the badasses. You’ll have plenty of time to pick up the Torgue Tokens that are dropped later on after you’ve vanquished the last of the enemies.

Most of the action takes place in the main bar area, but there each levels also features a back room. Avoid spending much time in the back room, as it can be tough to gain a Second Wind if you’re downed. Equip a slag or fire grenade and make frequent use of it whenever you encounter a Badass Enforcer or Burner Bruiser, since they are the main threats in this fight. Use a potent shotgun or other short-range weapon with explosive or fire properties. There are three Badass Enforcers to kill before the time runs out. Don’t hesitate to use a rocket launcher if two of them group up, as you don’t want to get caught between them in a tight space.

Stay on the move, but avoid the back rooms if you’re running low on health.

Tier 2 Battle: Bar Room Blitz

Pick a fight in a Biker Bar. Tier 2 difficulty.

The second tier version of this battle is very similar to the Tier 1 battle, but this time, you only have 3:00 to find and kill the badasses in the bar. The assortment of enemies is virtually unchanged from the first battle, and you once again need to only kill the three Badass Enforcers to successfully complete the mission. Use your Action Skill on the first Badass Enforcer you spot, but be careful to leave the other non-badass enemies alive in case you need a Second Wind. Opt for grenades and your rocket launcher against the other Badass Enforcers, as two often appear as a pair. There’s plenty of time to kill off the remaining bar patrons after you’ve hunted down the badasses and met the mission objective. A third tier battle unlocks after you complete this one, but it is of a much higher level (level 49) and shouldn’t be attempted until you are at that level, likely during True Vault Hunter mode.
