Fast Travel Location: Marcus’s Mercenary Shop
You’ve hit Frost Bottom in the third Headhunter Pack for Borderlands 2. Tis the season to be giving, so help Marcus save Mercenary Day and melt down the Abominable Mister Tinder Snowflake. Escape Frost Biters, warm up Gingerton and lend Small Tim a tiny hand. There will be lots of gift giving and loot hunting as you collect new festive heads and skins!
Get Frosty
Reward: Character head customization and XP
Speak with Marcus and he will take you down the hall and open the door leading the Gingerton. Once inside, head into Gingerton and defeat a few Yetis along the way.
You’ll find that the citizens of Gingerton have been frozen, so go south and up the hill to investigate the furnace. The furnace is empty and a trail of coal is found leading away from it.
Once you find the end of the trail, a group of snowmen will spawn and attack. These snowmen attack by throwing snowballs and will usually back away if charged, making melee attacks more difficult to land.
Find the Train
Fight your way down the tracks, killing Frost Nippers, Yetis and some Snow Bandits once you reach Carol Corner. Choose to either fight them or run passed them. Follow the trail south until you hit the frozen river, cross it and head up the other side to the train station.
When you reach the Train, you must kill all the Bandits in the area and stop the train car theft. There are only a few enemies, so this shouldn’t become much of a challenge.
Escort the Train to the Furnace
With all the bandits cleared from the Train, you must lower the bridge to get the Train to the furnace. Shoot the four points of the bridge covered in ice; this can be accomplished from one side of the bridge. Give the Engineer the signal to go and escort the train into town. Remember to stay near to the Train to keep it moving down the tracks.
The train will stop in front of a tunnel that is frozen shut. Post up and get ready for a fight! A few waves of Frost Nippers and Bandits will spawn before the train can breach the ice and head for the furnace.
Once you make it back to the furnace, dump the coal into the furnace and then shut it to thaw out the town. With the inhabitants warmed up, return to Gingerton and speak to Small Tim in the Town Square.
Killing Mister Tinder Snowflake
Head north out of the town and onto the big frozen lake, which is where you fight Mister Snowflake. At the northern edge of this arena, there are a few bells sitting on a dock; simply ring them to summon Mister Snowflake.
Once summoned, he immediately attacks! Most of his attacks are based around throwing a large snowball. While it inflicts a large amount of damage, it can be dodged when timed correctly.
At some points he will throw his Candy Cane at you. Quickly get away from it before it explodes. Also, Frost Nippers will spawn during the fight. It’s a good idea to shift focus from the big guy and kill the Nippers before they can inflict too much damage.
After depleting Mister Tinder Snowflake’s health bar, he will fall to the ground, but he isn’t dead yet! Run up to the downed boss and press the Action Button to take off his hat.
This seals your victory! Head back into town and speak to Small Tim again to claim your reward!
Special Delivery
Reward: Cash and XP
A special delivery for a very special little boy.
Go to the tree in the center of the town to pick up some presents that Small Tim would like you to drop off. Upon delivering the first present, you may notice something is a bit off about the package… At this point, consider equipping a Caustic Shotgun or Rocket Launcher because things are about to get a bit messy!
The moment you deliver the fourth package, it will activate and spawn some Toy Loaders. Kill them and return to each delivered package to kill off all of the Toy Loaders before they can kill any of the innocent people of Gingerton. Once completed, head back to Small Tim to complete the mission.
