Go to a Hackerspace to meet with DedSec teammates and review how your operations are proceeding. There are four Hackerspace HQs to uncover—in Marin, Oakland, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley. Some require operation completion first. The main Hackerspace is just north of Mission Dolores Park, in the basement below the Gary’s Games & Glory gaming store. Activities include:
- Shop: Just like a clothing store, DedSec Hackerspaces sell gear, in the DedSec style, naturally.
- Change Clothes: Pick and mix and match between the nine available clothing styles, based on the clothing purchases you’ve made.
- Operation Start: As you progress through the Main Operations, you’re periodically called back to the Hackerspace to start a new or ongoing operation. Make sure the icon of the operation matches the one you want to start! This almost always involves talking to a fellow DedSec member.
- 3-D Printer: The 3D printer allows you to fill up to five slots on your person with the 2EZ Stun Gun (the taser, which is always equipped), weapons (two slots), and RC drones (two slots). The Gadgets and Weapons section of this chapter has more information.
- Follower Wall: Here you can view the total number of Followers you have obtained and Main Operations DedSec has completed. This matches the information on your smartphone.
- Rest: Find the couch and set an alarm to wake up. Each time you rest, you remove any Heat (felony troubles) you’ve acquired with law enforcement or rival gangs; you save your progress; and you change the time of day, which is helpful if there’s an activity you wish to attempt, such as a Driver SF mission, that requires a certain time of day.
- Hacking and Activities: Don’t forget to inspect vents for collectibles you need to use the RC Jumper to find, or hack video logs for content about your crew.
