RESEARCH POINTS
This ctOS security breach that has the research is locked by a CCT in a room on top of a building. Use the forklift to the south of the building and bring it over to the building’s west side, along with a crate. Climb on top of the crate and ride it up to the ledge. From here, get onto the top of the building. Take control of the camera inside the building and use it to hack the gas pipe there. This clears the way for your RC Jumper to drive through a small opening in the wall. Use it to hack the CCT to unlock the ctOS security breach, then hack it and get the research.
You can hack this research from a ctOS security breach. However, you need to hack the CCT on the balcony overlooking an alley. The key is to hack junction boxes, HVAC units, and transformer vaults to stun all of the guards. Use either the Quadcopter or the cameras overlooking this area. Watch the guards and wait until those on the ground level are near these devices. Stun the guards on the balcony at about the same time so they cannot react. Once they are all stunned, have Marcus climb onto the trailer and then up the ladder to reach the balcony, where you can hack the CCT. Now that it is unlocked, get the research by hacking the security breach on the alley’s other side. Get out of there.
A Wi-Fi sniffer located inside an air duct contains this research. In order to hack it, you must open two grates, each of which is locked by a different CCT. Use the forklift to the east of this area to pick up a pallet. Use this to reach the roof to the north of the nearby restricted area. Hack the first CCT, which is on the roof. Then send the RC Jumper down onto the walkway in the restricted area to hack the second one. Time it so the gang members there do not see it. Then recall the Jumper and climb to the roof area near the air duct. Open both grates, then send the RC Jumper into the duct to hack the Wi-Fi sniffer and get the research.
To get within range to use the Quadcopter to hack the research from the ctOS security breach on top of the Oakland City Hall building, you need to get onto the roof where Research 9 is located. Then just fly into range to make the hack.
You must physically retrieve the research on top of the building. Locate the window washer lift on the side of this building. Then reverse the nearby truck for several feet so you can climb on top of it and then get onto the roof. Take control of the lift and ride it up to the rooftop to get the research. While you are here, use the Quadcopter to also get Research 8.
Pick up this research located in the backyard of a home. However, it is guarded by a dog and several gang members. If you don’t want to set off an alarm, you also need to be able to deactivate security systems. Get into the backyard of the home to the south of the one where the research is located. There is one gang member on the home’s south side and another patrolling the backyard and the south side. Taser the first gang member and hack the HVAC unit when the other gang member comes to investigate. Quickly jump over the fence and get to the backyard. Deactivate the security system over the research, pick it up, and get away.
The research is located in an office inside a warehouse. There are several gang members inside. Since the office is in the warehouse’s south end, create a distraction in the north end. Remotely take control of a truck inside, and immediately crash it into something. This usually lures all of the gang members to the north end. Open the garage door on the south end and send in the RC Jumper to first hack the CCT to unlock the office door. Drive the RC Jumper up the stairs and into the office. There is a security system inside, so deactivate it before rolling in to the pick up the research.
The research is in a fenced area on top of a building. Use a scissor lift located to the building’s south to get onto the roof. Then take control of a window washer lift to reach the top of a building to the west. Deploy the RC Jumper and drive it off the ramp and jump across to a fire escape platform. From there, jump down to a lower platform and then down to an air duct. Drive along it and around to the left. Jump into the next platform and then down to a fourth fire escape platform. Finally jump down onto a power box inside the fenced area. Hack the CCT to open the gate and grab the research.
The Wi-Fi sniffer containing the research is located on the roof of the Oakland Theater. All you need is the Quadcopter. Fly it up and hack the sniffer to get the Research Point.
There is a ctOS security breach on top of the Christ the Light building. You need to unlock it in order to hack it. There is a security router to the building’s west. Hack it to start the process. Now you need to manipulate the nodes to connect power to the lock on the side of the building. You must use the Quadcopter to do this. Move node 1 two times, then node 2 three times, node 3 three times, and node 4 two times. Next hack node 5, and finally node 6. Once you complete this, hack the security breach to get the research.
You can hack the research here from a ctOS security breach, but you must access a CCT to unlock it. Go behind the building and use a scissor lift to get up next to an air duct. Deploy the RC Jumper and jump onto the air duct. Follow it around to the roof and hack the CCT. Recall the RC Jumper and then go to the front of the building to hack the security breach with your phone.
You need the Quadcopter to grab this research, which is located in an air duct on the building’s top floor. However, the entrance to the duct is an opening above the garbage container on the building’s south side, at ground level. Fly the Quadcopter into the opening and up the duct to where the Wi-Fi sniffer is located. Hack it and get the Research Point.
MONEY
Sport Bag
This sport bag of money is located in a restricted area below the freeway. If you approach from the south, there is an opening in a container through which you can enter this area. However, there are some gang members and a dog. Lure them away from the entrance using distractions, so you can send in the RC Jumper to quickly get the money and run.
Money Bag
Located in a home’s backyard, this bag of money is not difficult to get. Hide behind the wall to the yard’s south. There are two hackable objects you can use to stun the gang members guarding the money. At times it is possible to get two with one hack if you wait until both are near it. Once the gang members are unconscious, hop over the wall and get the money.
Sport Bag
The sport bag is located inside a railroad shed. Take up a position to the building’s south and take control of the forklift. Pick up the explosive tank on a pallet and carry it to the shed’s north side. Wait until some of the gang members follow it. If there are still gang members by the money, detonate the tank. Once the gang members all move toward the north, rush in and climb onto the platform where the money is located. Grab the bag before running out the way you came in.
Money Bag
There are many gang members and a dog on the roof where this money bag is located. Climb onto the roof on the north side. There are some crates on the western side you can use. Hide behind the HVAC unit on the roof’s northern section and deploy the Quadcopter. Hack objects on the south side of this restricted area to stun gang members and lure the others in that direction. As they leave the money, send in the RC Jumper to collect it and then make your way back down to street level and escape.
Money Bag
The money bag is located on the roof of a building within a restricted area. Take control of the scissor lift in the parking garage section on the north side and drive it off the ramp and onto the street below. Ride it to the building’s south side and use it to get onto the roof of the shop to the right of the coffee shop. Climb the ladders and get next to the fenced area. From here, see what the gang members are doing. Wait until they move away from this area, or distract them if necessary. Send in the RC Jumper. The money bag is located under the raised platform behind the stairs. Once you get the RC Jumper under the platform, the gang members can’t see it. Get the money and then recall the RC Jumper.
Sport Bag
This sport bag is located in an alley. The only way in is from the south. Hide behind a wall and use cameras or the Quadcopter to see where the gang members and dog are located. There are several objects that you can hack to stun or take out enemies. By doing this, you can clear out most if not all of the enemies. Then move in and use the taser or melee attacks to clear out the rest so you can get the money.
Money Bag
There are two ways to get this money bag. The first is to take control of the large crane and lower the container to the ground. Climb in and ride it up to the container where the money is located. The second is tougher but has a lot more flare. To the south of the container area is a motorcycle lined up with a ramp in a container. Ride at full speed off the ramp. While in midair, hit the brakes so you can stop on the first container. Then climb up the container to the left to get the money.
Sport Bag
Police officers and a dog guard this sport bag. The best place to start is to the east of this restricted area. Watch where the officers and dog patrol. Deploy the RC Jumper, and when you get a chance, move through the northern opening and hide it behind a patrol car. Use phone distractions if necessary. You can also hack some of the objects such as the transformer vault to stun the police so the RC Jumper can roll over to the money and pick it up. Marcus can stay out of the area the entire time.
Sport Bag
This money bag is located under some stairs behind a building. There are several guards around, as well as a dog. Take up a position out of sight and to the south. Take control of the nearby forklift and pick up a crate next to the stairs. Carry it to the north and use it to create a distraction or hack a transformer vault to lure the guards toward the north end of the restricted area. Now send in the RC Jumper to get the money bag.
PAINT
Vehicle Paint Job
This paint is not hard to get. It is in a fenced area, but it is lightly guarded. Stay to the area’s south and send in the RC Jumper. You can usually get by with just phone distractions so you can roll in and pick up the paint. There is a transformer vault inside the fenced area that you can use if you need to stun a gang member.
Weapon Paint Job
This paint is well protected by a gang on the stern of a cargo ship. You can walk up the plank and move across the deck to the ship’s west side. Climb up a ladder and hide behind the railing. Watch the closest gang member. When that one is not looking, deploy the RC Jumper. Send it through the railing to the lower deck. Then continue to the left and drop down between two containers. Hide here until no gang members are looking, then drive to the right and into the container where the paint is located.
UNIQUE VEHICLE
Wrecker by Global Motors
This vehicle is located in a container on top of a container stack. Take control of the crane and bring the container it carries to the eastern side. Climb up on the first layer and then climb inside the crane container. Ride it to the level just below the level where the vehicle is located. Climb up to the next level and then drive the vehicle out of the container. Once you climb in, you can access it via the Car on Demand app.
Mountain King by Brubeck Engines
This off-road vehicle is located in a fenced area. Take control of the forklift to the north and use it to lift Marcus over the fence so he can jump down into the area. Hack the CCT to unlock the gate, then hop in and drive off with your new vehicle.
CLOTHING
Short-Sleeve T-Shirt Chinatown Top
This shirt is protected by a couple guards and a robot. Watch the guards as they patrol. Use a phone distract on a guard who is in your way, and shut down the robot as well. Then get the RC Jumper in to get the clothing and then get out.
SCOUT X LOCATIONS
The Flask Mob only appears around midnight, so don’t go looking for them during the day. You have to take your photo quickly since they don’t stay around too long.
You can find the crazy preacher outside the Christ the Light building. He is not always there, but morning or afternoons are good times to check.
