Firstly, it’s important to complete Side Operation: eKart Challenge to fully upgrade your vehicle with a battery and velocity chip. You now have the best kart you can race with.
Next, ensure you have the ./Research ability Engine Override, so you can boost during races. Add extra Botnet capacity (up to 20) so you have longer boosts; use this as needed during races, and victory is almost assured every time!
At the start of each race, it’s important not to get jostled, even if that means slowing down. Move to the side or boost through a gap between rivals to reach pole position.
Stay in pole position at all times if possible; learn the racing line and stay as close to where the checkpoint arch meets the ground as possible, staying on the inside of the corner. This ensures the shortest distance between the two next checkpoints.
Look ahead at least one archway checkpoint so you can see where the next one is and line each up ahead of time. Can’t see a gate? Then you may need to make a sharp corner turn!
The minimap can also help, as it shows the location of your five rivals and shows the course itself. Check it periodically.
The easiest way to lose a race is to hit a barrier, tires, or other scenery, which can slow you down. If this happens, boost quickly back up to top speed. Don’t hit trees; they stop you completely!
The eKart has exceptional oversteer, meaning you can easily spin out of control. Minimize this this by keeping your speed up as you reach every corner, release the gas and start to turn, then accelerate afterward. If you’ve found a racing line early enough, you can do this for almost every turn.
There are shortcuts, though heading onto grass makes an already squirrelly eKart more prone to oversteer, so only make modest turns.
While it’s fun to e-brake in an eKart, it is not usually recommended, as just releasing the accelerator slows you down for even the sharpest corner.
