4. Operation—Operator Speaking

Objectives

Trace the doxer’s transmissions.

Brief

The receiving device has finally given us a trail to the operator behind the DedSec doxing. We’re not just going to shut them down; we’re going to make sure they get a spanking for their efforts.

Location

Spanish Revival–style home, Presidio, one block east of Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco..

It’s a straight shot north to the Presidio District and a Spanish Revival house facing the Bay, one block east of the Palace of Fine Arts. Head into the back garden, where you’ll see the ctOS box is linked to a security router. Hack the router, and solve the following Network Bypass hotspot (most of which is at the front of the house). This is a lot easier if you’re using the Quadcopter:

1: Leave alone.

2: Turn x2.

3: Turn x2.

4: Turn x2.

5: Unlock. Turn x1. Reboot in 35 seconds.

6: Turn x2.

7. Unlock. Turn x3.

8. Turn x2.

4: Turn x3.

9. Unlock.

5. Turn x1.

10. Unlock. Puzzle complete.

Climb atop the cement block and onto the shed, then the garage roof, so you can access the ctOS box (physically or using the RC Jumper). Inside the house is a server room. Hack the laptop for the access code, then erase the DedSec names on the A100 server unit. You also uncover an e-mail letting you know Prime_Eight is behind this, and she was going to hijack the airwaves to broadcast the names. Why not pay her back in exactly the same way?
