One of the earliest hacking methods to learn is taking control of security cameras, usually within or around a restricted area. Switch between normal and HetHack views to spot cameras, enemies, and RC devices (such as scissor lifts you can control) through walls. Target enemies to tag them (a process known as “scouting”) so they appear on your minimap. Whenever you first begin an infiltration of a restricted area, cycle through the cameras to get a lay of the land.
