2. Operation—First Steps

Objectives

Tag the first set of high paints (3).

Brief

You don’t need handholding, do you? Go tag something!

Speak to Sitara, who has a total of 12 hot spots around the Bay Area for you to brighten up with some DedSec graffiti. At each hot spot, you must figure out how to ascend to the location (usually a billboard or wall space, as shown) and paste on a giant piece of art for all to see. Gather Followers along the way. The office roof you’re on isn’t part of the 12 hot spots.

Visit the hot spots in any order you wish. The guide has grouped them in the order you receive them from Sitara, in the optimal path compared to your current position.

Location 1: Haight-Asbury Legs

Locations

1. Above the Haight-Asbury Legs, two blocks west of Painted Ladies, San Francisco.

Find the Haight-Asbury legs sticking out of the window, and look northwards, one block east of there (the rainbow-colored store front should be on your left). Look for a Scissor Lift. Board it and ride it around to the area in front of Maverick Ink, next door to the Legs. Raise the lift, step onto the roof, and climb across the roof garden to the hotspot.

Location 2: Nudle Billboard, Parking Structure

2. Gray concrete parking structure (inaccessible interior), one block south of Nudle Campus, Silicon Valley.

Drive a tall vehicle (such as a taco truck) under the stepped awning at the southeast area of the block, climb on its roof, and then onto the awning.

OR

Locate the brick patio in the northwest part of the block, and the ladder near the tree, right of the closed brown store. Climb the ladder, turn left, and work your way southeast, crossing an awning, climbing to a taller concrete roof, running around the lip

of the roof to a ladder, climbing the ladder, then dropping down and moving around to the southeast awning.

From the awning, head to the locked roof door and small mesh fence. Produce your RC Jumper, drive it through the hole in the concrete barrier supporting the mesh fence, and unlock the Closed Circuit Terminal. Open the door, climb to the hotspot billboard.

Location 3: Kodaprint Building

Locations

3. Above the Haight-Ashbury legs, two blocks west of the Painted Ladies, San Francisco.

Drive a truck with a cab, or another high-roofed vehicle, into the container parking area in the northern part of the block. Park it under the corner camera and climb up the vehicle, onto the low roof, moving south to the window-washing lift. Lower the lift, step into it, ride it to the roof, and cross the roof to the hotspot under the “K” sign.
