BotNet Resources are indicated by the icon in your screen’s bottom right. Use these to perform every type of hack around you. Every hack uses a varying amount of BotNet resources, and although these regenerate over time, it is always preferable to have a full (blue circle) BotNet, especially if you’re about to begin a taxing infiltration operation. Some important points to remember:
- BotNet color: Blue BotNet sections indicate BotNet resources you have available to use for hacking. Red botnet sections are those that are regenerating; expect to use them imminently. White Botnet sections are resources that you’ve used up and are waiting to regenerate. You can’t use these currently.
- Improving BotNet Capacity: You start with four segments of your BotNet wheel available (colored blue). The maximum you can have is 20. Unlock a better BotNet capacity as soon as possible, so you can continue to repeat hacks (such as vehicle boosting). Unlock full capacity (16 segments) in the ./Research app.
- Draining Phones: The only other way to refill your BotNet (besides waiting for regeneration) is to hack civilians and drain their phone’s BotNet resources (as shown). Do this as a force of habit before embarking on any difficult operation, while driving and passing civilians, or by hiding and adding to your BotNet resources during operations.
