Tucked away in inconspicuous locations throughout San Francisco and Oakland, there are 10 Garden Gnomes to collect. Gathering them all unlocks a secret outfit. The following gives you the exact location for each one with detailed walkthroughs on how to obtain them. You can collect the gnomes in any order. This walkthrough starts with the most northern gnome, all the way to the final one in Oakland.
The RC Jumper is required to reach many of the gnomes and you can craft one at the 3D Printer inside hackerspace for free. A lift is often necessary to reach gnomes found on rooftops; various lifts can be found around the city.
Gnome Laptop
Location: Fisherman’s Wharf - Seafood Restaurant
Required Equipment: RC Jumper
Before you can find the collectibles, you must first access a hidden laptop that displays the gnomes’ locations. Head to the Seafood Restaurant at Fisherman’s Wharf and proceed to the northeast side. Deploy the Jumper and drive it into a crawlspace under the stairs.
Follow the path to a dead end where a gnome sits in front of a laptop and Research Point. Hack the WiFi Sniffer to gain the point and then interact with the computer. The screen displays a map with all 10 gnome locations circled.
Gnome #1
Location: North of Palace of Fine Arts – Tidis Corporation
Required Equipment: RC Jumper
To the northwest, near the Palace of Fine Arts, a gnome rests inside a Bratva Gang stronghold (a restricted area). Inside, several gang members and a couple of dogs patrol the grounds. There are multiple ways in: hack the gates on the north and east sides or climb into the pipe to the west. A camera on the front of the Tidis Corporation building allows you to survey the area from outside the fence. There are also several items that can be used to distract the guards. There’s a forklift on the left and a few explosive objects near the buildings.
The gnome is inside the doghouse, which is located to the right once you get inside the north gate. The least confrontational strategy is to deploy the RC Jumper from the north side. Enter the gate and drive to the doghouse. Hop into the opening and pick up the gnome. If a dog is guarding the entrance, you will need to quickly avoid it or take it down with a melee attack before sending in the remote control device.
Gnome #2
Location: North of Embarcadero Center - Rooftop of Health Store
Required Equipment: RC Jumper
Find the Travel Agency located a block north of Embarcadero Center, next to a pedestrian bridge. Move around the right side, ascend the short staircase on the left, and hop a fence to reach the rear of the building. Climb the ladder to reach a small landing. You can continue up the machinery ahead to reach the rooftop, where a vent gate is locked. You must trace the red line back to find the Closed Circuit Terminal.
At the landing, deploy the RC Jumper into a hole in the ductwork and drive into the small room on the right. Hack the circuit to unlock the vent. Return to the roof and climb onto the machinery next to the vent gate. Deploy the RC Jumper inside and follow the path to a small room, where a Research Point and gnome are located.
Gnome #3
Location: Tenderloin - Papa B’s Pawn Shop
Required Equipment: None
The third Gnome is very simple to collect. In the seedy Tenderloin district, find Papa B’s Pawn Shop on the south side of the block on the corner. Step inside and collect the item from the right shelf.
Gnome #4
Location: Transbay Center - Upper Level
Required Equipment: Lift
Grab a lift and take it to the Transbay Center; there’s one next to the Starter Oil Co. Gas Station, two blocks to the southeast. Drive it up the stairs to reach the gardens on the upper level. Find the hedges that form a quadrilateral in the middle of the area. Park the lift next to the foliage, use it to get inside, and collect the gnome. Climb the pergola or Fast Travel to exit the area. This gnome can be found without a lift if you have the RC Jumper and Enhanced Spring upgrade.

Location: Haum Data Center – Bookstore Roof
Required Equipment: Lift
Southwest of the Haum Data Center, there’s a gnome atop the Bookstore (look for the mural of a unicorn). A lift is required to reach the rooftop; you can find a lift behind the building close to this one. Use the lift to reach the roof and collect the gnome next to the ductwork.
Gnome #6
Location: South of Golden Gate Park – Behind Doobie Donuts
Required Equipment: None
Find Doobie Donuts south of Golden Gate Park and a couple blocks west of the Painted Ladies. Enter the alley behind the shop and climb the second set of stairs on the right. Continue all the way to the roof and search the garden ahead to find this gnome.
Gnome #7
Location: West of Mission Dolores Park – Across from Stache & Vine Clothing Shop
Required Equipment: None
From Stache & Vine Clothing Shop, run south around the bakery and mantle over the wall just after the words “DREAM BIGGER”. Continue straight onto the shed and over to the deck on the left. Climb onto the storage container, vault over the fencing, and into the hot tub to find this gnome.
Gnome #8
Location: Near SFMOMA – Taqueria Rooftop
Required Equipment: Lift
From SFMOMA, go southwest and make a right at the next street. Just ahead, climb onto the lift on the left side of the road and drive it straight ahead to the Taqueria Mexican Restaurant. Use it to reach the rooftop and search the far-left corner to find the gnome.
Gnome #9
Location: East San Francisco – Next to Freeway Onramp
Required Equipment: Lift, RC Jumper (can be done without)
Members of the 580’s gang camp out next to a freeway onramp between Transbay Center and Nudle Park. You can fight your way to this collectible, but it can be found much easier with a lift and RC Jumper.
Locate the lift in a small construction area to the northeast. Drive it through the barricade onto the Oakland Bay Bridge onramp. Before reaching the highway, though, park it next to the concrete fence on the right. Raise it above the fence line and deploy the Jumper. Hop over the railing and search the wheelbarrow to collect this gnome.
Gnome #10
Location: Oakland, The Theater – Inside Aqueduct
Required Equipment: None
The final gnome is found across the Bay in Oakland. An aqueduct runs beneath The Theater, connecting the lake to the canals around Blume Arena. A walkway runs along the water allowing you to run inside, but feel free to grab a boat or swim. Locate two boats parked in a cubbyhole about hallway through the tunnel. Climb onto the nearby platform and continue up the ladder to find the last gnome lounging on a chair.
Gnome Outfit
Location: Park Southeast of WKZ Station – Northwest Corner
Required Equipment: RC Jumper
After collecting all 10 gnomes, head to WKZ Station in northeastern San Francisco and then go southeast to the park. In the northwest corner of the park, deploy the RC Jumper into the tent. Collect the package inside to add the clothing to your Wardrobe. Equip the shirt, pants, mask, and shoes at any clothing store or hackerspace.
