Restricted Area 12. Auntie Shu’s Imports & Exports

Previously Played

This import/export business and Chinatown city block are fully explored during Main Operation: Shanghaied, so be sure to read up on additional strategies that could apply.

Structures and Infiltration Points

The narrow alleys and buildings surrounding the main garage make this more cramped than most restricted areas. Make the most of the buildings surrounding the main office, as well as the office roof itself.

Southeast Pagoda Alley

Offering a good route to the main yard area in front of the garage, this is the usual place to begin infiltration. Park a vehicle near the pagoda roof (1A), and climb onto the lower roof, up the ladder, and across the rooftops, which is excellent if aggressive planning is part of your method.

Eastern Lantern Alley

Concrete steps near an ornate street lamp offer a hidden method of slipping into the narrow alley to the side of the garage. Note the vent behind the mesh fence (2A). However, it’s difficult to aim at the foes once you head toward the garage, and there’s no way to reach the roof.

Northeast Import Office

An Auntie Shu gang’s office is accessible from this location, but usually only after an access key or CCT is interacted with. However, if you create a disturbance, gang members sometimes unlock this door, allowing access. Note the ladder behind the concrete wall (3A); great for easily reaching the roof and neutralizing the foe up there. Next to the locked door (3B) is alley access (3C), making this a great spot to enter from. Also, this is a good escape route.

Western Salmon House

The salmon-colored Victorian home adjacent to the restricted area has two possible infiltration points—a yard (4A) and alleys—(4B) one with trash bags, the other a narrow alley near the ornate building with the foo dog statues. Note that the trellis attached to the salmon house can be climbed on (4C); then a ladder to the roof of the salmon house is accessible. This roof offers great views over the restricted area, and is an excellent sniping spot. You can also jump across to all the other rooftops surrounding the yard to get a better position. The narrow alley offers good views of the garage yard, but not much room to maneuver, and you can be easily trapped here if reinforcements arrive.

Roof Access

There are two ladders (5A, 5B) and sometimes a scissor lift within the yard, and all offer access to and from the roof. Use them if the infiltration is becoming untenable, or you want the height to start aggressive sniping. You can actually reach the ladders and climb to the roof without alerting the guards if you’re fast enough. The scissor lift can be moved too, though you’re very exposed and easily shot at while you move the lift up and down. Instead, use the lift to cause a distraction.

Auntie Shu Garage

Aside from the locked door, the only way to reach the interior office is through the garage, either via the main vehicle door (6A) or the unlocked door to the left of it (6B). You can also use the RC Jumper to maneuver in via a duct to the northeast (6C). A hackable door (southeast corner of the garage) leads to stairs up to the office, which has three rooms and usually a cluster of foes.

Operation Examples

Vehicle (Deliver Vehicle Operations): The vehicle is always parked inside the locked garage, so you need to open the main garage door. This is achieved by physically climbing onto the roof above the garage (the ladder near the office to the northeast is the best route), neutralizing the guard up there, and interacting with the CCT. Your co-op partner can then open the door, remotely drive the vehicle out, swing it 180 degrees to the right (so it faces north), and remotely drive it out. Or infiltrate the garage physically to steal the vehicle while the first player provides Quadcopter support.

Shipments (Destroy Shipments Operations): If there are two pallets and one vehicle, tackle the pallet in the L-shaped alley near the ground vent first, dropping an electro-shock bomb from the Quadcopter so your infiltration remains as silent as possible for as long as possible. Enter the ground vent into the garage, and fly the Quadcopter through the vent to the interior stairwell, circumventing the locked interior garage door. Distract the guards in the office so you can destroy the second shipment. Then bomb the outside vehicle from a distance, or use it as an escape vehicle.

Prisoner (Prisoner Release Operations): The prisoner can be located inside the interior office, requiring either an access key or a CCT to unlock. Use the Quadcopter to scan for the CCT, which is usually on the roof deck directly above, then climb onto the roof above the garage (the ladder near the office to the northeast is the best route), neutralize the guard up there, and interact with the CCT. Your partner should have gathered the access key to ensure no exit doors are barring your path to freedom. Access the office by the northeast corner door, free the prisoner, and leave the way you came, depending on hostiles in the area.
