Some network security requires a sometimes-convoluted unlocking of dataflow. For this, a Network Bypass is launched. Dataflow, when colored red, is protected, but once you hack the data flow, it turns blue.
This is a minigame of sorts, in which you must move conduit nodes into position to unlock subsequent nodes. The layout of the dataflow may seem strange, but it follows the layout of the building structure you’re looking at.
