Visit a couple of RC enthusiasts close to the San Francisco Hackerspace, in order to find out more about this activity. Then visit any of the Drone Race starting points across the Bay Area to begin a race. Obviously you need to purchase a drone (Quadcopter) first. Achieve this by making one (with its associated costs) at the 3-D printer in your Hackerspace.
When you’re about to start a drone race, your smartphone shows the times needed for gold, silver, or bronze medals; the length of the course; the difficulty; and the rewards (Followers and money). There are 10 courses to try.
Beat the time-trial marks, which involve maneuvering through lit waypoints, and win a gold, silver, or bronze medal.
Be sure to play these races as often as possible, as they are a good way to gain Followers and money; the amount increases depending on performance (go for gold) and track difficulty (go for Hard tracks)!
