Every vehicle, including motorized boats, can also be hacked and manipulated. Hold down your Hack button to target a vehicle. A hacking module appears, granting you a choice of up to four options:
Make Vehicle Back up, Turn Left, Go Forward, or Turn Right: Assuming you have the Vehicle Directional hack unlocked (./Research App), you can play “remote control” with any vehicle. This can be a parked vehicle, a target vehicle within a mission, or a moving vehicle driven by a citizen, gang member, or the police!
Back Up: The vehicle reverses about 20 meters or so, then stops.
Turn Left or Right: The vehicle makes a sharp left or right turn, then stops.
Go Forward: The vehicle accelerates forward, usually only stopping after hitting something.
Parked Vehicles: Use this when practicing remote driving or when you need to block a pursuing vehicle or cause a pileup a foe can’t get around.
Target Vehicles: If you need to move, steal, or destroy a vehicle during an operation, then remotely steer it out of a restricted area to a safe spot, then you can enter the vehicle and escape. Or, steer a vehicle that needs to be destroyed into an explosive object or prep it with an explosive bomb. Or drive it into the ocean (if it isn’t a boat).
Moving Vehicles: Hack these if drivers in front of you are in danger of blocking your path and you need to clear a way forward. Hack police pursuers to stop them from chasing you or to cause a pileup.
