Bombs

A witcher's bomb is similar to a magical grenade; able to deal damage and inflict critical effects on all enemies caught within it's area of effect. A bomb can be quickly thrown at a group of onrushing enemies and is less likely to be interrupted by an enemy's attack.

Damage Effects

Bombs can inflict a wide range of damage effects on enemies including fire, frost and poison. Bombs that inflict damage and critical effects are at their most potent in the hands of an alchemist, who can spend talents on bonuses that increase the bomb's effectiveness.

Passive Effects

Some bombs have no direct effect on their own but become powerful when coupled with other abilities. Dragon's Dream creates a cloud of gas that can be ignited by Igni while Moon Dust sprays enemies with silver splinters that will prevent monsters from transforming. Builds focused on physical attacks will find Northern Wind's ability to freeze foes particularly useful. These passive attacks take time to set up but their combined effect can be devastating.

How To Make

Bombs cannot be purchased and can only be crafted once the formula has been learned. Once this mastery is acquired, you can generate an unlimited suply using alchemical reagents whenever it's safe to meditate.
