Brief
Pac Katari needs a skilled station engineer to hijack Radio Buchon’s signal. His communications specialist has been captured by Santa Blanca, and he is being held at the Olico Super Dam. Locate the rebel engineer at the dam and extract him.
A Dam Fine Plan
The station engineer is currently waiting to be pushed off the dam wall by some pretty unpleasant fellows; though he remains stationary enough for you to complete the rescue. This area is unique; it is a long curve with chokepoints at each end, and the main enemy strength in the middle outpost.
Olico Super Dam (Outpost): Recon
TACMAP
The giant curved dam has a single connecting road, with an enemy minigun tower (each featuring two guns) at either end. The north area has a captain, and there’s a second captain at the middle base itself, where the target is being held, and is about to be thrown from the side of the dam wall. There are no interior areas to worry about, just the concrete barricades to slow vehicles down, and a mortar on the roof of the building to the south, which also has a helipad, generator, and two cells to unlock and free rebels to add to your cause.
North Road and Entrance
Don’t overlook the enemies around the small brick checkpoint huts, and focus most of your might at the two foes up in the minigun nest, and two more on the ground. The wide openness of the area makes stealth tricky, though you have excellent visuals for sniping. This makes it easier in Co-op mode, when you can each down a target with the rest of the base none-the-wiser.
In Solo mode, try to tag the foes on the ground first, assuming both in the nest don’t see the takedowns, before scaling the minigun nest and removing both foes quickly with a burst of suppressed gunfire.
You could also snipe across from the cliffs to the northwest of the road; you have the higher ground, but can’t easily maneuver down to join the rest of your squad.
Before you leave this area and yomp southward, drop a mine or two to dissuade any reinforcements.
North Cliffs
These offer good views of the north end of the dam, and almost all the way to the middle. They can offer a sniper some reasonable viewing angles, but setting up camp here is only for a Co-op plan of attack.
Olico Super Dam (Outpost): Recon
Dam Reservoir
One of the best methods to infiltrate this base is to swim in from the west, front-crawling to the jetty and waiting for the enemy to head up the steps before hopping up onto the jetty, slaying the foe (silently) with suppressed weaponry, and stealthily assaulting the main outpost. Instead of heading to the target, head up the side steps (after shutting down the power at the generator), cross the helipad, and take out the foe manning the mortar. Then use the height advantage and the cover of the low walls to mow down enemies down below. Setting the rebels free in the middle section is also helpful.
South Road and Entrance
The road at the base of the hill that the town of Todos Santos is perched on has a similar set-up to the north entrance, and identical strategies work just as well here. The only difference is the fewer enemies to worry about; but the problem of the minigun tower with two foes and two guns still remains.
South Hills
Standing atop the south hills offers great views, but problematic descent plans, though keeping a sniper here if you’re attacking from the south is a good idea.

Olico Super Dam (Outpost): Other Tactical Advice
A solo swim from C to sneakily shut down the generator, mortar, and then battle the remaining foes from cover while freeing the rebels, and calling in your favored Rebel Support to help you, is the best plan here. Getting delayed at either of the minigun towers is a problem, as the mortar starts firing at you, meaning remaining in cover becomes difficult, and there’s little cover to begin with! A wide ride into the outpost is dangerous, but may be the only option. Let your team advance on the enemy while you neutralize the mortar.
Or, fly around in the chopper, making the mortar your priority, before strafing the area and killing the enemies (not the trapped rebels in the cells or your target). Another option is to parachute down onto the top of the outpost roof, landing near the enemy mortar operator and killing him, before defending and advancing from this point.
Matters are a little more proficient when you have three teammates with human-sized brains. You can attack in different vehicles, with a helicopter pilot taking out the mortar first, checking no additional foes take over the mortar, and then helping strafe the minigun towers, reinforcement vehicles, and any other chokepoints the ground-level Ghosts are encountering.
Have at least two vehicles approach, usually from the same direction, and block the road entirely. Wipe out A or D first, then lace the road with mines to prevent reinforcements. The assault on the outpost should be a little easier if attacks are coming from all directions. If you’re attacking at night, kill the lights by deactivating the generator and manually shooting the light poles, further adding to enemy confusion.
Engineer Extraction
With the majority of the enemies removed, and rebel reinforcements arriving (if you called on them), locate a vehicle (one of your team should have one ready to go) and drive the engineer to the rally point. This means heading through town, so keep your eye on the GPS, and don’t take turns too sharply. It also helps if your vehicle is a Landrock SUV or something a little smaller; a wide buggy or pickup is more difficult to maneuver through these tight, rudimentary streets. Or you could simply use a helicopter, which is much easier and safer.
