Brief
El Chido’s trademark car will soon be delivered to Malca by a Santa Blanca convoy. Locating the convoy and stealing the car will embarrass El Chido and damage his reputation as a macho narcocorrido.
One Cool Car
After obtaining information regarding the delivery of the sports car, your job is to stop the convoy, steal the car, and then drive it to the rally point at Malca Charlie where it can be dropped off. The only real rule? Make sure the car stays drivable to avoid disappointment and mission failure.
Chido’s Car Convoy: Recon
The convoy consists of El Chido’s car at the front, followed by two Landrock military off-road vehicles with turrets. Expect two to three occupants in each military vehicle, and two in the car. As you should have stopped numerous convoys already, the advice below is likely to be second-nature to you.
TACMAP
The convoy is taking a winding route through the mountains in the eastern part of this province. Also expect a heavy Unidad presence, but stay away from battling them once this mission commences. You should purely focus on the convoy. Also watch for innocents along the roadside and avoid them.
Chido’s Car Convoy: Tactical Advice
Drive ahead of the convoy, stop and, from cover, execute the driver of the car you need to steal. Have your team move in to engage the remaining enemies in the military SUVs while you get into the driver’s seat and peel away.
Or, you can ram the lead car off the road so it stops, then drive your (hopefully armored) vehicle into the sides of the rear SUVs and engage in a firefight until the foes leave their vehicle. After which, simply shunt them into walls or run them over.
With friends by your side, you can elect to tackle a vehicle each. Have one Ghost pick the car, and execute the Solo plan of attack. Meanwhile a second and third Ghost, each in a military vehicle, should engage the two enemy off-road vehicles while a fourth Ghost rakes the area with helicopter gunship fire. Or, you can set up a regular ambush, blasting the two rear vehicles with a well-aimed grenade, a detonated mine, or C4.
Next Stop, Malca Charlie
The reason to begin your mission by fast-traveling to Malca Charlie becomes clear once the second objective begins; to return here and drop off the vehicle. You should know the general topography of the area now, and can predict when to slow down for switchbacks. Assuming you’re not too judicious with the accelerator and don’t roll the vehicle into a fiery hulk, the mission concludes when you knock on the rally point door.
