Brief
Hernando Guerrero has given us the means to take out Boston Reed. Get to the smuggler’s airstrip and enter Reed’s emergency code into his private network, then ambush the elusive boss when he appears.
Shipping Off to Boston
Just over two clicks south of Koani Bravo, or 1.9 kilometers northwest of Koani Alpha, is an improvised stretch of runway on the edge of the massive salt flats. A single road leads into this collection of debris, salt piles, and scattered sheds, crates, barrels, and wreckage. You’re to head in here, look for Reed’s laptop, hack it and enter a code, and then kill Reed when he appears at this rendezvous point.
Improvised Runway: Recon
TACMAP
This base isn’t quite the same as most of the infiltration zones you’ve been asked to claim; it’s a number of giant piles of salt between a flat section of runway from north to south. Along with the salt on either side are small collections of debris, sheds and containers, a small wrecked plane, crates of salt, and foes patrolling. The laptop is near the end of the main road, on a crate cluster.
East: Main Road
This is a good infiltration spot if you use the scenery just south of the road, moving to the salt pallets a little southeast of the target, and snipe or remove foes from there (using suppressed fire). This allows you to crouch and rush to the salt piles, and the metal container or target itself.
South: The Rusty Truck
If you approach from the south, the first piece of scenery to greet you is a rusting truck. Use it before sending up your drone, then drop the armored foe nearby. Then make a clockwise sweep around the perimeter of the mission area.
West: Small Plane Wreckage
There isn’t much to hide you before you reach the salt piles, meaning an infiltration from A, B, or D is a little safer, but the plane is a good place to reach and use as cover before wiping out the remaining foes.
North: Rusty Trucks and Shack
Use the rusting trucks on either side of the runway as cover, as well as the small shack, if you’re heading in from here. You’re usually far enough away to begin dropping foes without being seen, once you’re in cover.

Improvised Runway: Other Tactical Advice
If you’re heading here on foot, start at any of the indicated places and work your way in a circle around the runway, using the salt piles as cover (crouch behind or lie on them when getting a good aim at each foe). Track the armored enemies and snipe them first, if you can. Drop as many enemies as possible using stealth, before switching to rapid-fire takedowns, and blast any explosive barrels (so you can use the scenery near them in the next part of the mission, without them exploding near you). Place your team on the road near A to deal with the incoming ground enemies, and mine the road to blow up incoming foes. Then use the laptop.
Or you can drive in here using an armored SUV, running foes over, avoiding the salt piles (which can cause your vehicle to roll if you’re too haphazard in your driving), and mowing everyone down. Then use the laptop and engage the chopper with your team firing from the SUV, ignoring the ground foes approaching by vehicle until after Reed is killed. This means engaging the helicopter away from A.
Instead you can arrive by chopper, strafe the ground with gunfire (with your team helping you) until the area is secure, then use the laptop. Afterward, step back into your chopper and engage Reed’s helicopter from the air. You can also try flying an explosive drone at the chopper. Also try firing your grenade launcher at the helicopter.
With more human teammates, you can each approach from a different angle (A, B, C, and/or D) and remove the enemies in your portion of the mission area. Before the laptop is touched, set up mines for any incoming road vehicles, and then pick a plan. You can:
Split up on the ground. Find an area of scenery like the container, wrecked plane, shack, or salt piles and all train your weapons on the chopper as soon as it appears, so it drops out of the sky. When it hits the ground, lob grenades so none of the foes make it out of the wreckage.
Or have two teammates in a helicopter attack from the air, and two on the ground, either in a military SUV or on foot. Train your weapons at the chopper and drop it out of the skies in no time at all.
You’re easily able to use Rebel Support abilities to summon reinforcements or mortar—useful for destroying the incoming ground vehicles.
