Brief

Carzita’s resort is a getaway for the rich and powerful from all over the world. We need to convince the cartel’s guests that it’s no longer a safe place to stay. Raid the resort and cause as much chaos as possible without harming the guests.

Resorting to Gunfire

The Paraiso Agua Verde resort is nestled slightly above the lake, and has a single main road to the villas and parking lot where you’ll be holed up for a good three minutes of carnage. You’re heading here to frighten the resort’s visitors—not execute them—so pay attention to who you’re hitting.

Paraiso Agua Verde: Recon

TACMAP

This sprawling resort has a number of outbuilding and cottages on its premises, but the main villa, pool, and bar area indicated on your Tacmap is where you need to be. While there are dozens of additional foes throughout the grounds, you only need to concentrate on those in the area around the parking lot. In fact, it isn’t as critical to remove any foes prior to reaching the objective, as you’ll be continuing to defend the area for three minutes afterward to achieve mission success.

Drone Jammer and Overlook

Expect two or three foes on this grassy overlook, which is an excellent place for a sniper to hole up during Co-op Missions. The dirt road to the west, which ends near here, is the easiest way to reach this point, and it also allows you to infiltrate the area without anyone seeing you. Station a sniper here during the defending of the area.

Hillside Sniper’s Post (South)

Though you risk mission failure if all Ghosts leave the mission area, having one atop this flat plateau hill is a great idea, as they can cover foes driving down the main winding road, lobbing projectiles on their vehicles, and softening up enemies so the rest of the team can concentrate on foes inside the resort.

Hillside Sniper’s Post (Southeast)

This hillside offers the exact same advantages (height, sniping, and projectile-throwing) as B. You’re also able to maneuver down to the ramp-roofed shack to use as cover, or into the parking lot to steal a vehicle and provide chaotic distractions.

Lakeside Access (Northwest)

Use this if you wish to quickly reach the parking lot, you’re arriving by boat, or you want immediate access to the chopper on the helipad. As using the chopper during the defense of the lot is a great and chaotic idea, have one of your team play pilot for a while.

Parking Lot

When you reach this spot, you need to fire your guns to freak out the visitors, then engage enemy reinforcements coming down the road in vehicles (at least three vehicles, each with three-to-four enemies inside), as well as foes coming up from D, and the north area of the resort grounds. Also keep an eye out for additional reinforcements heading in on foot and from a chopper coming in from the lake. It’s important to have at least one Ghost inside the mission area indicated on your Tacmap; wandering away from there fails the mission.

It’s a better idea to position your team in defensive positions in and around the parking lot before reaching the objective point, so you can begin the three minute defensive plan immediately. Don’t forget the parking lot has numerous vehicles you can use to ram enemy cars, to block their path, or block the stairs or arched entrances into the resort, as well.

Villa Defenses (Upper Floor West)

This is one of two preferred spots to spend the three minutes defending this area after you frighten the guests with gunfire. Head up into the gym, removing any foes that may be up there. Drop C4 to defend the stairwell from unwelcome visitors, continuing to check on foes trying to attack you from behind. Then choose a window and fire from it. Unlike G, this has better window views of the parking lot, and incoming enemy vehicles.

Villa Defenses (Upper Floor East)

This upper office has a window on the west wall offering excellent views of the courtyard where most of the action takes place. Hold this position during the three minutes, and keep enemies from attacking you by having a second Ghost watch the stairs, or check periodically to ensure you aren’t being outflanked.

Paraiso Agua Verde: Other Tactical Advice

Adequate defenses prior to defending the courtyard and upper buildings is the key to ensuring your victory goes as smoothly as possible. Drive vehicles from the parking lot up through the arch entrance, around the fountain, and use them as mobile defenses to block staircases or openings where enemies are likely to maneuver through.

Point your team to cover the entrance steps and end of the road, while you hole up between F and G. If you want to provide chopper fire from above during this time, feel free to reach the helipad before the parking lot, then land on the lot and circle around with or without fire support from your team on board.

Variations on the solo theme work well here, with Ghosts at A and C, or C, F, and G. Or, for a tighter fight have two Ghosts at F, and two at G; one moving along the ground checking foes coming in from the north plaza and south parking lot, while the other is upstairs shooting from the windows. Or back up into the upstairs area on each side. Naturally, using the chopper, utilizing vehicles to intercept, ramming and creating havoc, and saving explosives for vehicles before the occupants exit, are all fine plans too. When the three minutes are up, flee either via a chopper or water extraction. Or, find a vehicle and head for the hills.
