Brief

Unidad keeps records of its black operations at a secure underground data center at M.O.B. Jaguar, its headquarters in Flor de Oro. Hacking this data center and obtaining the files will expose its ties to Santa Blanca and help disrupt their operations.

Going Underground

Breaking into a secret subterranean data center within the perimeter of Unidad’s biggest base in the province sounds difficult, and it’s almost impossible if you take a “run and gun” approach to this operation. Live up to your nickname and move unseen, into the underground tunnel system that links M.O.B. Jaguar (to the south) with a small, central outpost and a slightly larger outpost (to the north). Here, there are only a few initial foes to remove. However, once the data server is being hacked, you must remain within the small mission area for two full minutes, repelling reinforcements from all directions, before you can leave. Even after the mission concludes, you still need to extricate your team!

M.O.B. Jaguar: Recon

TACMAP

Your Tacmap displays a number of names for the various locations under the umbrella of Mobile Operating Base Jaguar. This is the name of the base itself; there are four entrances into the data center at locations labeled with unique names on your Tacmap.

Entrances #1 and #2: Unidad Train Freight Yard. This is the northern part of the main base (shown on the guide map). Two of the tunnel entrances are here. There are relatively few foes, but the adept way to insert yourself is by dropping down at either entrance tunnel after hiking down from the hillside.

Entrance #3: Combat Outpost (North). This is a large outpost with its own generator, helipad, and comms center. This entrance is preferable to the freight yard, but still filled with Unidad forces.

Entrance #4: Combat Outpost (Center). This is a virtually impenetrable mine-workings location to the northwest of the main base. It’s directly above the data center, and is therefore the easiest to infiltrate.

Data Center: The data center itself is directly under Entrance #4. Tunnels link it to Entrances #1, #2, and #3. This is the place you must reach, defend, and escape from. Enemy reinforcements appear from all four entrances throughout the two minutes it takes to download the information, so prepare accordingly (see below).

M.O.B. Jaguar: Recon

Entrances #1 and #2

Main Entrance

Though this offers you the choice of both entrances (D or G), the two sniper towers guarding the rest of M.O.B. Jaguar to the south (not shown on the guide map), and the mortars, reinforcements, and other defenses make this a terrible insertion point. Use it only if you intend to drive to a tunnel entrance at speed. Though it’s possible to stealth-shoot the snipers with simultaneous firing and creep into the base, this is a waste of time and resources.

Remember this location when you attempt to depart after mission completion; it’s a possible exit, isn’t blocked by a gate, and offers multiple directions in which to flee, including the railroad tracks.

East: Railroad Bridge

This offers access up the outcrop where the higher part of the base sits, though the area southwest of this insertion point features a mortar and a large cluster of foes best avoided. There’s a sniper tower too. Feel free to move northward from here instead, along the perimeter of the base, and drop down to the tunnel entrance at D on foot, away from this highly dangerous area.

M.O.B. Jaguar Upper Base

A SAM launcher, barracks, mess halls, a generator, and two sniper towers (one to the east by the raised helipad) make this a dangerous place to visit, but as long as you avoid the gaze of the snipers, there are relatively few enemies within the grounds of this flat plateau. However, infiltration here is pointless, as the tunnel entrance (D) has a high perimeter and gate, and two side gates, all allowing only Unidad vehicles in. If you intend to drive into this tunnel, make sure you’re in an approved ride.

Tunnel Entrance #1: Gated Base

The main entrance here houses two guards (one usually armored), with a gate and a high perimeter fence. The gate only allows Unidad vehicles in and out, so remember this when you’re trying to get into this tunnel and, more importantly, trying to escape from it! The barbed wire extends up and around the tunnel entrance, meaning a hike to the tunnel before dropping in isn’t possible. The only way into the tunnel aside from driving in using a sanctioned vehicle is to parachute in!

West: Freight Yard Railroad Tracks

This is a much safer infiltration option. Aside from a sniper tower, there are few foes to worry about, granted you keep to the north hillside as much as possible. You can climb up and drop down to the tunnel at G, or continue into the freight yard itself (F). Approach by road, and you run the risk of being stopped or spotted at the checkpoint, so stay hidden unless you want to drive straight into the tunnel.

Alternatively, the few foes at the checkpoint make this a good place to silently remove enemies (so Unidad is still unaware of your presence). Afterward, steal one or more of the parked vehicles at the gas station area of the checkpoint; this allows you to drive into G (or even D) with additional protection, at the expense of stealth.

Freight Depot Yard

This is a preferred way to enter the second tunnel entrance (G), as the area contains few foes, a couple of large propane tanks if you plan to cause a distraction, and easy access from the road or railroad to the tunnel. Drive up from the railroad before the perimeter wall at E, or via the main entrance at A, though the latter usually alerts the enemies.

Tunnel Entrance #2: Freight Yard

There’s far less protection at this tunnel entrance, making it an excellent choice for infiltration, especially using stealth. You can hike or bike in over the hillside, stop above the concrete entrance at G, and then drop and roll into the tunnel.

Or you can sneak in down the hillside embankment, encountering few enemies, if any. Or drive in without worrying about automatic gates.

Entrance #3: Combat Outpost (North)

Main entrance

Though this is merely an outpost rather than a major Unidad base, it’s still extremely well-guarded, with a sniper tower on the corner, foes at the checkpoint, and a block-wall perimeter. However, the blocks can be climbed over at any point, allowing infiltration anywhere along the northeast and northwest sides.

This base features a minigun nest by the tunnel entrance, a generator, barracks along the southwest hillside wall, and numerous Unidad vehicles you can commandeer if you want to drive into the tunnel. All are good options, but for an insertion point, this particular location is too obvious.

East: Side Road and Hillside

This is a better stealth option than attempting to barge in at H, though the entire base has a wall that can be climbed over. Drive a vehicle through this side of the base for an alternate route, or sneak in and deactivate the generator, stealth-kill the minigun operator from the side, and watch for foes near the barracks. There’s not much use climbing up the hillside (unless you’re sniping), since the fall is too great to allow a drop down to the tunnel entrance (unless it’s from an aircraft and you’re using a parachute).

West: Sniper Tower and Helipad

This is a stealthier option, as you can enter from the road (providing the sniper in the tower is removed or doesn’t see you), then sneak along the block wall, up and over to the base of the hillside, passing behind the barracks tents and into the tunnel. This can be done (ideally at night) with no one seeing you; it’s a great infiltration point if you’re on foot.

Entrance #3: South Tunnel

Guarded by a minigun operator at a tarp nest, this offers a straight road from H to K, though the yard in front is rather open. You can’t drop in from above (the fall will kill you), so approach from the directions detailed previously. Also note these infiltration points when attempting to escape: This base is a good choice, as there are plenty of vehicles to steal during extraction, including an attack helicopter!

Entrance #4: Combat Outpost and Data Center

Northeast: Main Entrance

This has the fewest guards of the four entrances, though the sniper can still cause you difficulties at the east perimeter. The remaining foes are inside an almost impenetrable fence; it can only be accessed from M, unless you drive in using a Unidad vehicle, in which case the gates open. Watch for the armored foes as you enter, though.

Remember you could hop over the fence at M, steal a Unidad vehicle parked here, and stop it on the gate threshold, allowing other teammate vehicles in unimpeded. But since you ditch the vehicles when the descent begins, it isn’t that helpful.

Aside from a single tent and some construction equipment and containers, the real area of interest is the base of the mine shaft (above N). There’s an entrance here that allows you to descend seven floors to the data center.

The radio antenna and large circular hillside above the mine shaft make good sniping positions, though heading down into the outpost after you clear the area takes time.

West: Perimeter Breach

This is the only way to enter (and exit) this outpost if you don’t have a Unidad vehicle—a fact that’s well worth remembering if you’re fleeing after mission completion and can’t get out! Use the rock outcrop to climb over the concrete fencing when heading in, or the stacked blocks at the Dumpster if you need to head out.

Mine Shaft and Data Center

The data center is accessed in a variety of ways: tunnels leading from D, G, and K, or the mine shaft from the surface area of N. The data center comprises a main underground chamber, with a gantry running to different parts. Northwest is an armory (handy during the defending phase), west are a couple of parked vehicles, southwest are cabins, and southeast and east are large storage areas and the base of the mine shaft.

The laptop (target) you seek is at the T-junction on the gantry itself, close to the middle of the chamber. When you hack it, you need to wait two minutes for the download to finish, during which time enemies attack from all four entrances. Proper prepping for these attackers helps repel them. Head out of the download area (the yellow circle on your minimap), and you have 20 seconds to return, or the mission fails. Note you don’t need to be at the laptop, just within the underground chamber (and the entrance to any of the tunnels, which are on the edge of the download zone).

Once the download is complete, you can leave.

Part 1: Reaching the Data Center: Tactical Advice

Though the initial objective arrow points you to the northern part of M.O.B. Jaguar, entering the data center from the central outpost (mine shaft) is by far the safest option. Simply sneak in via the breach in the perimeter wall (climb it at M), sneak or take down the foes between there and the shaft entrance (above N), and run down the seven floors to the data center. The only drawback is you don’t have any vehicles, aside from those already at the data center, to use for protection, to run over enemies, or to escape in.

The other option is to drive in using a Unidad-approved vehicle (if you enter at D), or any vehicle (if entering from G or K), though something armored with a minigun is recommended. This is a great alternative to sneaking in on foot, as the vehicles help during the defense of the data center.

You can each enter from a different tunnel. This is pointless but possible. Otherwise, it’s worth amassing a few vehicles to drive through the tunnel.

Give yourselves more of a chance during the defensive phase by bringing multiple vehicles (up to four) down here.

Part 2: Defending the Data Center: Tactical Advice

Prior to the laptop being hacked, you need to defeat the three or so foes in this general data center area. Ensure no enemies are nearby before accessing the laptop. Start the laptop hack only after you booby-trap the area. You can:

Drive trucks (two deep) to block entrances.

Place mines and C4 at the tunnel entrances.

Set up defenses, but with long-range viewing down each of the tunnels, so you can see foes coming from as far down each tunnel as possible.

Prep the stairwell with mines (two or three, away from the blast radius of each other) to dissuade enemies heading down from above.

Prep anything explosive (such as a truck or the propane tank) with C4 to detonate when one or more foes are nearby.

Ignore the laptop once you hack it; the enemy can’t shut it down. This is more about surviving the enemy onslaught.

Then get into position. Have your team defend the north tunnel (to K) as they can attack foes heading in from both D and K, while you remain near the tunnel leading to G.

When the action starts, stay in or around the armory. Not only can you see enemies coming in from D, you can quickly spot them heading in from K and G. Plus, there’s an ammo box in here, so keep those explosives going!

You’re also pretty safe if you drive an armored vehicle—at least for a while, though the action is more chaotic. When you’re at the wheel, run over groups of foes in the tunnel before reversing, block enemy vehicles, and when you leave the vehicle, swerve so the driver’s side is closest to cover so you can easily hide instead of taking fire.

With Co-op partners, who have hopefully driven here, you can have up to four additional vehicles with which to create blockades at the tunnel entrances. It’s usually better to block one entrance completely than partially block all three (as you can lay mines or C4 elsewhere).

Part 3: Leaving the Data Center: Tactical Advice

When the two minutes are up, leave via any tunnel. You encounter the fewest foes by sprinting straight up from N and leaving via M (center outpost). This is a good option if you’re on foot.

If you have a functioning vehicle, drive south toward the freight yard, and make a right (southwest) turn toward the checkpoint and railroad tracks (E). Or head north to K, turn right slightly (northeast), and leave via I. Heading to the main base (D) could get you stuck, as the gate only allows Unidad vehicles passage, and this area is under high alert.
